I have tasted my best biking days in the era of rx100. The day I received license to drive, I received a brand new rx100. The sheer youth, power, nothing was on road like it.
Then my biking-degraded years had seen many commuting vehicles(splendor, Libero.). This put me in the reverse gear to the good old golden days. I was looking for something, which could separate my definition of Biking from travelling/commuting.
After 12 long years, it happened. I was struck by a thought of owning one of my early dream machines. I started my analysis phase with mean/lean machines in market. But whenever I got passed by a legend with old, I mean really old passing, I used to look at the shine, Proud-ness, Exotic beauty, thumping. I mean I cannot put it in words. I felt something is growing in me which needed something which will unifyinto it.
After coming to know about the advances(DBES in short) I was dazzled and confirmed to go for it. I faced another problem, which one. Finally I zeroed in on Electra 5s DBES.
I mean, after driving 100/125 cc bikes for nearly 8 years(not counting rx100), when I took a test ride. Believe me, I was shaken badly. And could feel my heart thumping to the beat of it. It cleared all the clouds and gave me a crystal clear view of what I wanted.
And then I gifted myself & my better half, Electra 5s(Red color).
I(still) cannot understand, what takes me over. The power, aura, thumping, cruising. I feel my personality getting merged in the bike, and the personality of bike getting merged in me.
I have completed 2000 kms and am completely in love and hypnotized. I just need a single brain-cell to trigger me and I am on road driving, sometimes, I feel like wherever. Every road/place/destination is getting excited. Definition of road is getting blurred. I feel like wet/dusty/slippery/bumpy all mean one and the same comfortable for road. Hats off to the frame, shock absorbers, brakes, seating posture, engine, tyres. I just cant believe what it had done to me. Simply, Royal.
Whenever, I stop to park, It just gets assured in my Mind "Royal Enfield" more palatable than on the fuel tank. I am completely above the race to no-where. I don't feel like touching 80kmph and brake hard on the signal for others to join in. I don't miss a glare in the eyes on counter vehicles who appreciate sheer force on road.
I can go on and on and on. For me, my passion of biking is rediscovered with it. I feel completely rooted, peaceful, missing none of landmarks I pass by.
For who shouldn't purchase the bike, I think, the ones who see pro-bikers, their racing machines, driving styles and mimicking it on Road with bikes which are not made to bear the tortures. One suggestion for them, drive your bike on engine friendly rpm(not speed), feel the beauty of engine. Or else, get down and run as fast as possible till you drop down.
I know, top-speed, bhp, statistics will be much better in other class of bikes. But believe me, compare any 20 year old Bullet running on road with just 6-7 year old other bike and you will see the difference not only in bike but also in the User.

After 5000 km and counting, I STILL feel like.
I have taken a good decision by purchasing the bike. I think after riding it for a while and enjoying not only my highway trips but also daily city chorus, I am ready to write the user aspect of the Electrifing experience of the Legend.
No technical failures, no bad memories, no failed pistons, no regrets. I don't know why there are ghosts flying about Bullets and Royal Enfields. Just one effect, I have gathered a wide knowledge of the bike and vast friend circle including the bests in Bullet-engineers.
I went touring with speeds of 90kmph and touched 105kmph, though the odo may be wrong but I could feel it in the accompanying cars alongside. For hours tested machine(following a pattern emphasized by the experts) simply enjoying the Scenic Beauty of valleys, rivers, roads and people. Simply awesome.
One of my favorite teachers taught me Kata(form of karate) for 3 years and then taught me how to be flexible to break the form learned to win and said “Go ahead bring anarchy into established system”
And many thought I don’t require effort to disrupt the flow, dismantle a build, push the walls, kick the boundaries and stand there complaining on its failure. I simply loved implementing same and simply loved the way my machine understood my targets.
Talk about experience, I am feeling the change within. Don't believe in everything I say, drive Bullet for a while:)
