Paul, Interesting milk man story. finds a better suit for anology of stock market. I think its not just gambling, its how much risk you want to take as a return of investment on your stocks. Some learn the trade tips and tricks, while others keep trying to find how to play the game. Byt the tim...e they learn the rules of the game they are out of the game.Read More

Cool, very inspiring to use office 2007. Microsoft has been primarily targeting the user experience. That’s the reason it still stands out in spite of being Microsoft windows with bugs where mere re starting solves half the problems. That’s also the reason why people buy their products as its simple... even a Dummy or Idiot (I mean the people reading from these books) can use it. May be I can comment on its features when I get a chance to work on the original version of office 2007. Well, this statement does not mean I use a pirated version but original lower versions of MSoffice (Microsoft Office).Read More

Tesco has lots of summer deals at the moment. Online shopping has made easy to shop what you want at the push of a button.  My long wish of buying a branded quality tennis racket came true with Tesco direct. All you have to do is visit the site http://direct.tesco.com/. You can search for any...Read more

Even I have noticed what you have said. If you look at it we (INDIA) is GREAT in terms of geographical stretch, we are GREAT in terms of population, we have GREAT scholars, we have GREAT natural resources, we had GREAT institutions like Nalanda and Dakshashila, we have GREAT scientist, and I can thi...nk of too many GREAT list and the list will only grow GREAT. But as Indians we don’t do self prising by saying we are GREAT and so do I. I heard that earlier Mail services were only provided to Royals or Royal communication only but later was extended to all the citizens of the country and perhaps the name. Also GREAT perhaps was used to show the extension of British colonies in other places and that is still in use. As you said I completely concur that India is doing GREAT and no doubt on it. But we have GREAT challenges to be face. • Improve infrastructure • Ensure every citizen has basic education • Make people understand their responsibility • Not just concentrate on the IT industry I know it’s the fastest growing industry now but as you say how long do you think we should work for others? I know every great mind in India is working towards it, many independent social improvement groups are tying to improve on this that but all this requires time and to make it faster we need to be economically strong. So, we will have to work for others – theraikadal oodu, theriviyam thedu, it not only suits a house but even for a Country. Hope your dream of Rs1=80 comes true soon. Good luck, JaganRead More

Ateesh, To be honest i was of the assumption that maps were used only for finding directions but was never aware of so many other uses. Thanks for this. As you rightly said this generation students dont have to search for places in oxford atlas which is time consuming and no option to zoom it. I ...am just wondering what would be use of google moon and google mars to the common man ? May be to start booking for land plots for future generation to live !Read More

Ramya, Believe it or not, it’s really good. I find many of my college mates in it. I don’t find it much different from any chatting tool excepted that I feel it’s an offline chatting tool. Perhaps I call it an offspring of eMail and Chatting. But I still wonder what Orkut really means? I remember ...this word in a famous animation HE-MAN but not sure how of them know about this serial and remember this character. Read More

Dwivedi, Thanks for your comments. I understand almost every single software shop is certified with all jargons that we are aware of. I also understand all big companies set goals to every single employee, do reviews, do appraisals etc. I also understand its not a very common event. Take it from... me, I am from a very reputed organization and my immediate boss requested an apology review rating was by his boss in his absence without his consultation. And the end result, I lost a something big. If my work was visible to his boss perhaps I would have not been in this situation. For a company with 100's of employees one such event is not a big deal but this is a great deal for me at least ! And I don't find any harm or violations in doing that as long as you keep your boss and his boss informed of all you are doing, be it good or bad.Read More

NV, I am not suggesting you to keep your boss happy, all I am saying is keep him informed and if required keep even his boss informed. You don't know when your boss will leave you for what ever reason. And you also don't know whether he/she has passed all the good and bad deeds are passed to your ne...w supervisor who will judge you when your day comes. Well this is based on my experience not just once but many times and hence a lesson learnedRead More

Practice makes your cooking perfect. You cannot enjoy cooking if you think as a task rather enjoy it and I am sure you will love to cook. Don't worry if you mess it up after all that becomes a new dish !
