Envy ram tries his Independence Day speech!!!. Review on London

Imagine that I am a virtual entity. Don’t say “He is speaking rubbish” …  say “that Envy ram is speaking rubbish”, for what could follow could make a new sense or nuisance. You cannot throw stones on a virtual person, can you?!:)

I have been in this part of the world only for a year. Not really sure if I studied and understood this country that good. But, from all that I have seen I can surely say that this is a GREAT country(Get ready to hit the NU button). The name of the country is GREAT Britain; its navy is ROYAL Navy; the entity that delivers post is ROYAL Mail; there is a place called GREAT Malvern; there is a beach called GREAT Yarmouth! Great … Royal … royal … Great … surely it should be a great country. I am only surprised that the websites end with .gov.uk . Should it not be gov.great.uk?

You know how this appears like? Someone said, “Too much of proudness is not good for health”(guess the someone in the comment section and win an independence day gift!) From what I have seen, this country is a GREAT mistake in the history of Geography!

England was the place where the industrial revolution started. All turned into machineries instead of manual Labour. And to run the machines they went and conquered all around the world and bought slaves. The slaves worked for them, the machineries ran for them and this country became wealthy. If we still remember, India was one of the colonies of the British. 60 years back even Indians were slaves.

60 years later India is still a developing country. England, on the other hand, is still a developed country. India is developing and developing fast … no doubt about that. Very recently we saw the stock markets booming, forex reserves increasing and all that. But, the biggest industry that has grown in this era has been the services industry. Haven’t heard about anything in England that has grown to this extent, except complaints that English people losing jobs because of outsourcing(i.e. services growing in India)!

Does this mean India will overtake economy if there is a race between the earlier colonizer and the colony? The answer is pretty straight. “Nooooooooooooooooooo”(Did that appear like screaming?) The fact is England has money and we still work for them to make them wealthier. Heard of history repeating? We still work for others.

Manual Labour in UK is costly, even in UK standards(forget globally or with comparison to India). They have less people to work and more things to do. If we just observe the streets here, people here are still proud and look down at someone of not their race(you know what I mean). Many lads I have seen are spoilt brats and do not know what respect is. There are ads on the buses for divorce. With increase in outsourcing, there is greater dependency on the service providing countries. You can easily observe many things that do not auger well for the future at all, both morally and economically. The only thing that is advantageous for UK is they have more money and less population!

India, though it is improving, should look at improving at all ends. While lesser population is a key, the other important thing that we should look at is building local markets for our services. With all the man-power, work for yourself rather than for someone else at a cheaper cost. Unless this happens 1 Pound= 80 Rupees situation will not change. Set up industries. Produce more with all the natural wealth that we have got. Let us not be proud like the UK and sink. Let us understand our limitations and improve on it.

Now the obvious question is that how can a common man contribute? While saving money is good for personal reasons, it is time we invest. And invest not in any foreign company, but our own industries that has potential to grow. Make children learn about textiles and minerals and things if they are not particular about computers! Let us strike a balance between improving our workforce and creating opportunities inside our own country for our workforce. One day Rupee 1= 80 Pounds situation would definitely arise.
