I think its been a good 2 years since I've been on MS... anyways had to comment coz of the last line in your review. For a book that I didn't particularly agree with, its had quite a resounding effect on my life. It became a sort of reference point for all my actions and I was almost in a constant s...tate of conflict... since she is so emphatic about her beliefs and to an extent so am I. Given its popularity, it can actually be quite a dangerous book especially for those who tend to think a lot. :)Read More

Raaj...i know this is a year too late but wtf r u ranting on about???By your own logic... I hope Muslims in gujarat who had their family members killed, raped etc come do the same to you and your whole community...then you'll be in the same shoes as the Great Hitler and go to hell! About the rest..., get a life you ppl and stop hero-worshipping psychopaths much less anyone else. If I have to start believing all this to be true I might as well believe in the UFO,Moonlanding, JFK, Raelian conspiracy theories all in one massive indigestive gulp... it's an insult even having to come across such directionless minds who will latch onto anything remotely controversial to buy an identity. I see that both of us share in our relative dislike of Ayn Rand. I've seen you mention Sartre before...will give it a look.

I didn't see anyone in that book refusing to work...there was across the board slandering of charities if you wanted to open your eyes and look at it. Characters in her book, are all ego and she uses the word 'egotist' to good effect. If something makes sense and you follow, that makes you sensibl...e ...this quality doesn't necessitate ego or selfrespect. What any person worth his salt wouldn't appreciate is preaching and propaganda....which is the sum total of this book. Hope you don't mind my rebuttal of unwarranted criticism. Yours, JohanRead More

You make a good point of how a person is on a big high after he/she finishes reading the book. That is if you are picking up what the lady is directing solely for your benefit not the book's. I found your retort to Mahesh far more cogent than your review. It didn't feel very persuasive and the 'co...llective' keeps reminding me of something from Star Trek. ps: i really hope Sijin reads my review on the book...might give his fingers some exercise.Read More

well though i share my disgust with you regarding such products, I wonder why people aren't as vehemently opposed to tanning lotions and breast enhancements amongst other things...Why just stop there...isn't the whole point of cosmetics to create something that isn't what you really are and hence ......cosmetic?Read More

if a review consists of expressing personal views on the contents of a book ranging from message, plot, characters and style...and ofcourse your own take on it, then i think i've covered the basics. This might not be the most appropriate platform to voice such thought but it won't be editted. If ...people feel differently I'd suggest they substantiate the reasons for it. I think this review is quite complete in its scopeRead More

Well it would be best that you privy yourself to my previous posting on Atlas Shrugged to fully understand this one. Before I began reading this book, I was heavily biased I have to admit. I didn't want to like the book, I wanted it to be as bad as Atlas Shrugged if not worse. Well it wasn...Read more

Baroda ka banda hein no wonder...It was an atrocious movie...truly third-rate even by gujju standards of movie appreciation. How you could sit through 2 hours of utter hamming and inanity, that too with an imaginary female, I cannot quite comprehend. Boss stick to maarofying Alkapuri ke Aate. Ja...i Sri KrishnaRead More

Well it was nice writing... nostalgic, full of defense pomp but didn't exactly feel like a review bout the bike as compared to your life.

well I read the book at the worst possible time in my life, and felt so nauseated that I never could quite finish it... i think all that talk about fried chicken at the outset kinda threw me n yeah the midwestern drawl was equally indigestable...nonetheless a very sweet review.

STYX was the first pub in Bangalore that I had the pleasure of losing my ol' factory capabilities to and thus it'll always hold a special place in my heart and a h o l e in my eardrum. Ozzy is someone I doubt I will ever be able to appreciate in all honesty. I think hearing him sing 'I F**Ked my sister this saturday' back in his Black Sabbath days, did irrepairable damage to me...i was ofcourse 11 at the time. Anyways to cut a long story short...youuzzzz a real cutie ;)
