Getting two wheeler license in Chennai

Dec 28, 2015 12:30 PM

To Mr. PremVijay Hi, I got a two wheeler license alright, all vehicles are allowed which can be registered under the RTO. Who says that only geared vehicles are allowed ? That is absolutely wrong statement.

Good Review. If you could add some more photographs on this camera and please let me know if you have done some high speed photography, birds photos, etc. How fast it is as a camera ?

I do not know about K10. Overall it looks good and attractive, after going through its features. I have got Alto XCite (LXi varaiant) limited edition model, and it is really good. I do not have any complaints regarding that. So, surprised to see such reviews for the new variants.

I find this review useful. You have used it for 4 months atleast. But, headlight focusing is not because of the vehicle I think. The focusing needs to be adjusted and you can get it done from the dealer instantly. I had the similar problem with my Access, the dealer fixed it in minutes. Now, I do no...t have any problem with the focusing. I can see that you are really enjoying the ride on this new vehicle. You have not mentioned about the mileage you are getting. Don't you think that a disc brake on the front wheels would have been better, with this size of wheels ? I think Aviator is a shade ahead in this.Read More

I am afraid I have put this review as not useful. This is because the member's ratings for the vehicle is 5, which is the highest. The review says that he had problems from day one with the vehicle and with the after sales service of the company. I do not find a justification for such a rating. I wo...uld say that this rating will misslead many readers in future.Read More

I would say that it is too early to comment on this, as I can see Karthik has already mentioned. Moreover as you are a learner of two wheelers, shouldn't have compared with other brands directly, as you might not have ridden all of them. It really takes time to judge on a vehicle and understand its ...pros and cons. Even sometimes we do not know that where we are compromising. But, I agree to the fact that riding 70 kms in 2 days for a learner is really amaizing. The mileage would be good, as a learner does not accelerate aggressively, as also always remains under the speed limits. It really depends on the driving habbits of a person how much mileage he would be getting on a two wheeler. For my Access, I get a mileage of around 53 now.Read More

I dont know about Wego, but when I purchased Access, I gave TVS as the first choice as my wife was interested in riding too. But, unfortunately, the dealers were all so unimpressive that I had to change my mind to Access. Now, I am proud that I had taken such a decision at that time. No cold startin...g problems with Access atleast. The after sales service with Porur SMK is quite okay.Read More

I can suggest you one more thing. I don't know whether it is available with Alto variants. I have tried it in a Wagon R and it rocks. Try using ABS. It really rocks. You will never have any complaints about brakes anymore.

I have bought an Alto XCite model in December 2009. I was initially having some problems with the brakes, I took it to the service center and asked them to adjust the brakes. They said that these are automatic and can't be adjusted, but they opened the four wheels and exposed the disc brakes and cle...aned them thoroughly. After this, I never have faced any problems with my brakes. May be you can try one of those. Also, the brake oil actually fills the gap between the brakes, so you need to check your brake oil levels too. Without good brakes a car cannot be popular. I believe Maruti Suzuki is extremely popular in India, where most traffic is a stop and go kind. Moreover Alto is one of their high sale models.Read More

Sir, I dont see any quantitative analysis from you. Just by saying something is good, we are not doing justice towards the product. Secondly, I found some wrong information here, as I had Activa before. The shock absorbers are not at all upto the mark for Activa, and it feels pathetic at times, with... lot of back pain, etc. There are vehicles with bike like telescopic suspension (Honda Aviator), which has far better suspension than the Activa. Secondly, though the new activa has lesser weight than its predecessor, but still handling is not at all easy, when compared to other scooterettes in the segment.Read More

I think it is very specific to state and dealer. I got it in 3 days. My friends too. But, yes. If colour is not available, one needs to wait, but not so much. Now check with the Honda dealer, how much waiting period he is asking.

Thanks a lot Zeeshan, I wrote whatever I felt and experienced. If one is good at driving, this will give him more pleasure than Activa. Ofcourse Activa has its own benefits. Looks are always relative to a person's choices. Hence, commenting anything on the looks is redundant, as per my feeling. We ...can see the vehicle on the road. I personally like the looks of Access, but I can't comment on it, as to my openion, there are other factors that are more important over looks, as the deciding factors for buying a two wheeler of this kind.Read More

I fully respect your views Sir. I was not aware that you have got your vehicle from SMK itself. I can understand your situation. I agree with the comments as well. Since I had not tried putting an extra guard, I have not faced such a problem. Though I have seen many many Suzuki vehicles with those g...uards as well. I am not sure as to how they managed to put up their guards. I have received your M2M as well, I will surely reply to that. Believe me I am not related to the company in anyway. I liked the vechile and wanted to advise it to all others. Previously I had activa, I was happy with that too, inspite of the fact that the comfort was less, weight was more, which was increased by putting all those iron guards, which I have not opted for this time. Hope your problems gets solved soon.Read More

I have not faced these problems as of now. I have crossed 3000 kms in just almost two months. But still the vehicle works fine, especially in the busy city traffic. I normally drive at around 65 kmph on empty roads. It is very very smooth. I have not taken any guard as I have felt that is useless, a...nd it really increases the weight of the vehicle. It really works. Incase the body gets damaged, we can get it changed as well. If you are in Chennai, I suggest you please get it serviced from SMK Motors at Guindy once. I believe they are very good at business.Read More

I have achieved 85 kmph on the Chennai Maduravoil highway, which leads to Dindigul if I go straight and to Tambaram if I take a left at the end of the bypass.

I cannot take this. I have crossed around 2500 Kms. When I need to slow down, I do play with the handle. I leave the handle totally and even I put my both hands in my pocket and wait for the vehicle to slow down. It rolls straight, without any difficulty. It is such well balanced. I never could do t...his with my Activa. It always used to tilt to the right side. Secondly about the mileage, I am getting around 50 kmpl in city conditions. Not sure about highways though, since I have not ridden much on highways. But overall comfort is amaizing. I have not yet faced any clutch related issue at all. I have bought it from SMK Suzuki in Chennai, from the new Guindy showroom, and the people there are really hospitable and they solved any problems I have reported to them in a blink of an eye. Though I admit that I have not faced any major problems as of now. Infact today itself, I got caught between an MTC bus and a Tata Scorpio. But, the vehicle is so steady, I never had any problems in maneuvering and getting it out from the middle. Awesome and mind blowing that is all I can say at this point of time. One more tip, I always use Shell normal unleaded petrol. I never use any other petrol.Read More

I am not working with the Suzuki Sales Team, but am working with an IT Services company in Chennai. My house is 30 kms away from my office. I have to travel regularly 60 kms minimum up and down through the busy city traffic. I am done with my first service, and have run around 1500 kms. I am getting... a mileage of around 50 kmpl. The vehicle is really powerful and smooth. The engine might be a bit noisy, but I llike to hear the power that the engine pulls out due to its 125 cc. I actually wanted to buy the Silver colour, but since it was not available I took the blue colour. I got it in 3 days time. Infact, the dealer, SMK Suzuki, asked me to take my vehicle and come for registration later. I drove the vehicle for 2 days before taking it to the dealer again for registration. Till now the dealer has been very cooperative.Read More
