After a lot of pondering went ahead to buy the wego. In my mind I had the access, activa, aviator and mahindra..but the thing was I have to be sharing this scooter with my little sister, so I had to keep in mind what she can be comfortable with as well, so well needed a scooter thats good on both ends, powerful, yet light and zippy and not girly like the pep but not too tough like the access.
I found WEGO to be an excellent choice. After a whole month of running around we both have found this to be a wise decision in the end and very happy with the choice. Unlike the usual that tvs do, there isn't much penny pinching being done here. the seat doesn't shake on it's hinge like a lunatic when you raise it, which is a very commonplace thing on the TVS brand as a whole(streaks.peps)on the looks front, though it is entirely a personal thing, I hate it's face and my sis loves it, so you get a difference of opinion right here in the house I somehow feel, it's trying too hard to look good., the paint quality is extremely good though, matching honda standards.the ride is comfy, especially liked the soft seats on this, which happen to be better than everyone else on the competition, pothole pumping is not a bad thing with this, and you wont get backaches that will send you running to yoga classes(courtesy baba ramdeo) and the vibrations have been kept to a minimum. Activa is something I fell to be a bit too jerky, is it just me or someone else feels the same too??
as for the mileage, all you who are expecting a 50kmpl, it's like asking Ralph Fiennes, to go back to the north pole at the age of sixty.. It can happen, but like him, you might loose a finger or two as well.
For wego, instead of being low on pick up, I'd rather say it's a bit laid back and there isn't the immediate cutoff that you get on the activa which I like. I felt it was much smoother compared to activa and has a slightly more refined engine, on the other hand access is in a whole different arena, with best of both worlds. but it's so ugly it makes tinu anand look good and I don't want that. I also found this to be lighter and more zippy through the traffic compared to others.If it's a unisex scooter you are after, WEGO is a much better choice than others. If you want a guy thing and don't care about the looks, Access it is( though I feel it's a bear which you will love to own, right untill the moment it slices your head off). but even after owning the wego, I realised this, there are many childrens books out there, alice in wonderlands, twilights, cinderella, inheritance cycle, but there is just one Harry Potter, and Activa is the Harry potter of our story( sorry jeremy, I had to use that one, nothing else is more apt)please leave your comments below, if you enjoyed, cheers.
