I bought Alto K10 in October 10, 2010 and drove about 1200 km so far. If somebody is driving a car first time, impression will be driving is the most difficult thing in the world. Clutch engagement is abrupt. In stop-go traffic it is a nightmare to drive this car. I have driven a few other cars and therefore in a position to compare. With improved power, one would expect better braking. You can drive this car very fast because of good power to weight ratio. But because of poor braking you would be afraid to go beyond 60-70 kmph.
So both in city and highway drive this is an useless car. About the plastic, less said is better.
