I was until last year using a ZEN VXI Top Model 2003 make fully loaded and after driving it for 1, 25, 000 Kms in 6 years I decided to retire that car and buy a new one. Having a hobby of cars since childhood it was a very hard decision to choose among the available, Went for so many test rides from Hyundai Assent - Toyota Corolla but some where having good features and high price other low on features and OK price so was very confused.

Then finally I landed for Honda City I-vtec SMT Model , in 2009 it was the Top Model now of course the VMT also present. The Honda name and the memories associated with the car made me quite crazy. I went for a Test Drive and took my decession to buy it. Seeing from a change from ZEN to Honda was a BIG change and things I crib now was not then as for me Honda was a Global name. Seeing my profile as a Sales person driving more than 200 kms daily I was looking for a superb reliable car and not the one which stands in between in the middle of road. I was looking for a car which may be as solid as a rock and has no tension while driving.

I am very happy for my decession now, I drive my car with much love and care and now its been more than an year driven for almost 29k km's and still going on super smooth. The milage it gives is approx 14/15 km / litre and on Higway approx 19/22 Km's per litre depending upon how I drive. If the speed is over 100 km's / hr the average is 16/17 Km/lt if the speed is less than 80 then no doubt it gives 19 km/lt. Actually mine gives 19.72 / litre.

The way I absuse my car going hard every day and driving a lot more than expected out of a luxary car this car is an absolute supportive car. Though no doubt it is over priced for aprox 2 lac but the cost of ownership is rather low. Really the cost of maintaince is approx 3500 and that too since I ask my Honda dealer to put Synthetic oil and not normal oil. Normal Oil servicing is for 5000 kms andf for synthetic you can stretch for 8000 kms though not recomended by Honda still you can , no worries.

My AC is always on , seldom do I put it off and there is no compromise on the average it gives. You can for easily take it inside 3 Feet water without worrying that the car will stop. I am most of the time doing this and never once the car has stopped, no doubt you have to keep the speed very low with AC off. There is no problem in the max speed you can achieve, personally I have gone till 160 Kms/hr it was just touch and go and have driven my car at 140kms/hr most of the times and there has not been a single shaking feeling, about the brakes I would in particular want to mention. God bless Honda that they have ABS and EBD, this has saved my life more than 10 times. Being a Sales person I have to attend many sales call during a day for business development and I am on the road most of the time. We get late for meeting at times and this was one of that day when I was cruising at a speed of 150 kms/hr on NH8 going to Manesar from Gurgoan. In the middle of the road I saw a truck standing , first I could not understand if it is moving or it is stopped, from a distance of 500 mts I could understand that it is stand still and I applied my brakes , that time speed must be 130 kms/hr and the meter went from 130 to 50 kms/hr in less than 3 seconds. My breath was almost out but this car saved me in the same way many a times I have been in these issues but Honda City is my life saver for sure. Had these people put some more features in the car I am sure there must be no competition around.

I have travelled in Europe throughly , Dubai and I see Japenses Cars are the most loved cars, last time when I was in Dubai the Driver told me that his Honda is been driven 22 hrs daily and this exercise is continued for 4 years with always AC on and there has not been a single trouble now can you all believe this , this is the quality Honda delievers to the Customers. The maintaince of the car is damn cheap trust me had I had a Maruti or any other I am sure my servicing cost would have been much high and the way they treat to there customers is pathetic. When you enter the Honda Dealer you feel prieveleged and you have the King Treatment. The overpriced Tag can also be managed in a sense if they deliver the product with the no of features as we Indians don't compramise on quality if the product is genuine. I can assure that all my friends reading can for sure go to Mac Donalds or Pizza Hut if they know that the quaility is No 1 and they have the right product in hand but if there is a compromise then sorry this won't do.

About the engine it is absolute silent and till date I can not understand at times if my engine is on or off if I don't see the RPM meter. As a product the car is fantastic but the lacking is alloy wheels, automatic climate control, rear ac vents etc. My second car for sure will be a Toyota Corolla or may be a SUV , Skoda Yeti or a BMW 3 series since the price they are oferring they also sell the same feature.

I hope I give a nice overview about the car and my friends can be happy reading it.
