Prem, If Champa-chameli read it, their cheeks wudn't need any touch of camel hair. U just know how to make ppl go hot under their collar (considering Bebo's collar mixed up with her neckline). Heard this man's name many times but I always felt so intimidated by his name that I thot his books might be like it....long n garbled.No offence meant . Almost read like a piece from an automobile mag!! Very informative... The car doesn't seem like a leisure car(except for its price).As for the paint,I can understand.My personal xperience of scratching (an understatement)my Matiz drove my dad crazy over a matching silver paint!! A glowing rev from one star to another!! We all r really proud of our Prez..he brought our country on the map in terms of nuclear capability.Better still,he didn't runaway somewherelse to prove his mettle. Here I'll agree with Suyog on Kalpana C.She was truly over rated n her death though hero...ic was just a matter of fate.India didn't lose anything, just a phoney sentence of'Woh Bharatiya thi...the first blah,blah' Perhaps I'm being unfair but wot hurts me is that worthier resident Indians don't earn even a good obituary unless they have done at least farming in the west!!Humph!! Seemed like a rather quickie,but sweet,rev.Its been a yr since I read the book n inspite of my own rev on this magical book,I'm a bit disillusioned by things that fail to take a realistic view.The equations of life r too complicated.I've just learnt to leave it to God,who's the main but is relegated... to the position of the third umpire.LOL. Though the biblical xtracts have been magiclly woven.Like the story abt the man with two sons,one a poet the other an official n many more.I liked the imaginative use. Keep writing ur piece. How sadly I enjoyed being saddened by ur sad (?) choices of tear jerkers. All were really sad except “Main toh chhod chali Babul Ka des’’. Well,that’s something different ;-). I mean ;-( N patriotic songs don’t make u sad, ‘ashru toh aakhon se garvvit hokar ch...halakte hain’. Pride swells the heart n moistens the eyes. Now this is a good list of food one hates to eat n few eat to hate. u included both of them, the mussels, remember?! Karela is really really good if u ever taste it when its prepared in a north Indian way.Lip smacking!! N Mango!Now that’s an insult to an Indian sentiment.I know its an unti...dy fruit but…..I’m groping for words. Sweet pickle….like sweet lentils (daal) yuck!! Gr8 rev!!U r so very rt ,the movie runs as fast as a snail n 1 doesn't feel sympathy for Dev nor Paro. I just pitied ChandraM coz she fell in luv with a hopeless drunkard.Perhaps, the original Dev deserved sympathy for his habit of consuming alchol due to his consuming guilt,but this Dev was Stutt...ering SRK.More by habit than alcohol.
