We are reviewing Sharp Service for Sharp Refrigerator and not a TV. Maybe, 4 years back they were good. Now they are no good, and partnering with an incompetent outsourced Service Provider like Jeeves having grossly incompetent Service Technicians is leading Sharp to damage its brand reputation .

ICICI's prof method of penalising Customers
ICICI Bank Visa Credit Card

This story started way back in 2002. The Company I used to work for did not pay any salary for almost 5 months and hence I was unable to pay my outstanding dues in one go. I approached the bank to help me settle the amount in installments to which they agreed and issued me a settlement letter in Jan...-2003. The settled amount was paid in 2 installments and I have proof of payment as per my bank statements. In spite of this they have neither updated their records nor issued me a 'no dues' certificate. I have received many legal notices as well as threatening calls in the last few years after 2003. I have sent copies of the settlement letter along-with proof of payment as per my bank statements to Collections Division of ICICI Bank by Speed Post / Registered Post / Fax on these several occasions. However I again received threatening calls again last week from someone claiming from Collections Division of ICICI Bank and threatened me and my family of dire consequences if I did not pay up the outstanding amount. I tried to contact their MD office to log a complaint regarding my grievances; however I came know that MD of ICICI Bank is not accessible to general public and hence all my efforts for the same were a waste. I tried to contact Customer Care on 9818178000 for help. However, even they refused to help resolve this matter. Looks like this is bank's deliberate strategy to harass people and unlawfully extract money. I guess these guys from ICICI Bank need a solid consumer court case against them as well as a good amount of press coverage to teach them a lesson not to cheat and harass people like this. I have a good mind to go into this direction if my issue is not resolved soon.Read More

Ambassador Resort - Manali

I had similar experiences as described above and I am happy I chose this resort. Yes...the price is on the higher side but worth the money. I would prefer to pay more on a 'good' hotel or resort having good brand image and reputation rather than pay less and get stuck with a dilapidated kind of hote...l with bad services who want to make fast bucks in the peak tourist season at the cost of gullible tourists.Read More

Ambassador Resort - Manali

Hi, overall our stay at Ambassador resort was pleasurable and yes...no Student groups during my stay. However, I do agree that quality of food needs improvement. We had only taken the CP (breakfast only) package due our experience of bad Chinese food at their restaurant called D'Jong. However we fou...nd that their breakfast buffet was quite OK. The Manager gave us complimentary dinner on the third night. We found the menu spread quite elaborate and taste of food quite OK. So...looks like they are finally trying to improve upon their food quality. The dinner was also accompanied by live Hindi film music which our kids enjoyed very much. We had a dedicated taxi with us.....so we were able to explore eating joints around Manali. As per recommendation of our Taxi driver we tried dinner at a Nepali dhaba in the Log Huts area and found the food to be excellent and dirt cheap though the ambiance was totally dhaba like. Next day we tried a small Israeli Restaurant in the Vashishth Temple area near the resort and found some continental dishes quite nice in taste at reasonable prices. In short we tried best of all worlds. The Ambassador Resort is constructing a heated indoor swimming pool which is expected to be functional by next season. For swimming enthusiasts like me......heated pool in a hill station resort would be a great attraction. I wanted to check out Holiday Inn as well and compare it with Ambassador Resorts....however did not get the time. Anyone having reviews about Holiday Inn at Manali? Read More
