For quite some time now, we have been watching this program - a tv serial - that has a  fresh outlook at life. Sasuraal Genda Phool has been quite successful in enthralling its audiences with the cutesy romance and comedy, Hrishikesh Mukherjee style. This is a story of love after marriage bet...Read more

More supermarkets. I don't know if Aditya Birla group is aware of the mismanagement practices being followed in this supermarkets. Hello all, the very purpose of showing the ill practices is to condemn them. Instead of making a documentary of the same, it is being shown in the form of fiction. If something has to be shown as wrong, it should be shown first, right? Coming to the story, I'd say that Suguna's child, technically sp...eaking, is an illegitimate child, because though she was married to Pratap, she was not sent away to her in-laws as per her father's decision to do so only when she turns 18. Also, as far as I know, Suguna's father was also against the very idea of marrying her off at such a young age. But bowing to his mother's wishes, he had to settle for just doing the 'gauna' when she was 18. I say Balika Vadhu is doing a great job showing the subtle and glaring ills of child marriage. As for practicing rituals as per convenience, we do that too, at every point in our life. Everyone does that. No point blaming the TV serial for showing something real.Read More

This was my first 3D movie experience for me and let me start this review by saying that it was definitely worth it. This is the last movie I am going to be seeing for quite some time now, and I am glad it is this one. Story? Well, don't we all know it? No? Ok, here's a summary. Ebenezer Scro...Read more

I enjoyed the Enid Blyton's Famous Five series. The one non-Famous Five book written by Enid Blyton was 'What Kate Did'. I started reading books with Famous Five. Greatly written review.

Tinkle was, is and will always be one of my favourite comics. Love your review. Reading your review brought back my childhood for me. Today too I never miss a chance to read a TInkle, or more preferable a Tinkle Digest.

After a long time, I have come across a good story on television. Anubandh, which means contract, deals with the sensitive issue of surrogate motherhood. It comes from the same camp as the serial that came in the same slot, Asambhav. Yup, you guessed it, Pallavi Joshi camp. It is a heart capturi...Read more

I wish you had written something more to justify your review, cuz, honestly, it did sound interesting in the beginning.

I too agree with you. Of course, we can ignore the flaws as artistic license. The slapping part is predictable and it is that very predictability that makes it interesting. Yeah, I like Officer Daya a lot too. He is quiet and reserve, but quite a hunk, if I may say so. Sometimes, I think ACP scares ...his suspect into confession. Aisa na ho ki the guy may not have even committed the crime, but confessed because ACP was so scary that he was scared, the ACP might kill him if he said otherwise. Ha ha ha....Read More

Thanks people for reviewing my review :) Nazia, I agree with you. Actually, I don;t blame the Nani. She is perfectly justified in sympathizing with Tapasya. The twist is that she most probably has an ulterior motive in all this and she is not entirely worried about Tapasya.

I must tell you that I didn't immediately take to this serial, as the title of it sounded quite forboding to me. I totally agree with you. How can the parents not know what their kid is up to? Have they ignored Tapasya so much while providing a future to Ichcha? Shouldn't they have explained to Tapasya in her childhood at the outset itself as to why Ichcha has suddenly become so important? Surely, Tapasya was ...not that young. A 10-year-old is surely never too young to understand something like this. This is not something people take lightly. We may take it lightly, but kids see this and try to misinterpret it in their own way. This serial is an important lesson in parenting, which tells you what not to do. Read More
