Hi ravi_esteem, Esteem is good vehicle with big boot space. Dont settle with lower fuel tank as u have plenty of boot space. 14KG tank actual get filled for 9kg of CNG. so go for max fuel capacity tank i.e. 14KG CNG kit: go for Close loop conventional kit so that ur pick up and mileage will ...be good. In esteem 1000cc vehicle, u will feel bit difference in pick up but u will surely get mileage of 20+km per kg. .... ie. less than Rs 2 per km. Apart from that: CNG is non polluting fuel, hence u will actually helping environment plus getting highest fuel economy. Only disadvantage is u need frequent refill cycle .. ie need to go to fuel station every 175 to 200 km run to fill CNG. If u have CNG station near ur home or office will be great and u can easily overcome this problem.Read More

Hi Namit, Which City u belongs to ?? Inline Answers for ur queries: Hello again BSwapnil, Firstly thanks for such a quick and Very useful reply, i have almost decided to go for the Kit replacement on my Getz 1.3. --> I recommend , go for it. However i enquired and found out the ...below 1. The Kit is Lovato Sequential kit, is this the same as mentioned by you ’’Lovato kit with Closed loop system’’? -> Sequential kit and closed loop kit are 2 different kits ... Sequential kit will cost u more than 54k There are 3 types : i. Open Loop -> Approx Cost 28k -> Fuel is adjusted by manual tap ii. Closed Loop -> 30k -> Fuel flow is adjusted by Lambda Circuitry -- Electronic feedback system - increases mileage and power. iii. Sequential -> 54k 2. Am looking to fit a bigger tank say 50 litre as i have decided to go for a carrier for my outstation trips and as you know such petrol pumps are rare so refuelling outside the city is going to be difficult. ------> CNG measures in KG. Max big tank u can have is off 14Kg. In 14Kg tank, max fuel get filled is around 9.5 to 10 Kg if filled at fuel station with good pressure in morning time. 14Kg tank occupy all the boot space. 3. The kit offered price is 30k --> 30k for Sequential is not possible. Lovato dealer and distributor link ...http://www.ecofuelcentre.com/contact.php?menu_id=4 4. Biggest negative feedback received was that the car mileage will NOT Increase and it will give me the same as it is giving in petrol which is 11 in city and 13 highway (Getz 1.3 MPFI engine), now that is become a concern for me as with such less mileage i will take a lot of years to recover my cost. --> Mileage will be increase for sure... I am getting 17km/Kg in city drive w/o AC and 22 -23 on Long drive of continuous run of 50+ km. Regards Namit Read More

Hi Namit283, Please find answers inline : Hi bswapnil, How is the current performance of your car and and any new Pros and cons u have identified, also since getz is a hatchback does the cng gas smell spread in the car cabin and does it give a foul smell. ->>>> No, there will not ...be any smell due to CNG. I never observed it. I have recently bought Getz 1.3 and am also considering installing CNG kit in my car but couple of concerns. 1 My running is too less, say i would do about 100 kms in a week and maybe one outstation trip in 3 mths. Is it advisable to go for a cng with such less running since petrol prices keep increasing every 6 mths. ->>>>> Mine is exactly same situation. Total one way run to office is 6km and then back. so total 12km in a day = 60km per week. Concern here is, most of expert ask to run on petrol for first 2km and then switch to CNG, but If i do that , no advantage of CNG cost saving.SO I run it on CNG since start up. I observed the mileage will go to 17 -18 if I do so. other wise mileage will be 20+. on HIghway, tank full to tank empty,I drove 223km in just Rs 360 (mileage of 22-23Km/Kg). ---Advise to run of petrol for time 2 km after cold start is for warming up the engine and nothing else. 2. Wil the car be filled with the gas smell. ---> No smell. but when u fill CNG in tank, tank will get heated for atleast 2 -3 Hours -though it is not feel while driving, but it get heated as if u touch it, u will seriously feel the temperature. 3 I will loose boot space which will matter during outstation trips. : ---------------> Yes, boot space will be gone completely. I manage to keep the tank below parcel tray, so tank is from visible from back window or from cabin side. Mine is small family of just 2. so I can use back seats for my luggage. Thanks, Swapnil Read More

@desidriver: I personally did not experience/ know the person with the Swift DZire with CNG. But, as engine is big enough that even with CNG minute power loss , u will feel the comfort. 1. Make sure, u get the right fitter. Much things depends on fitter. 2. We RTO document things done pr...operly. 3. U should have CNG station near / on road to ur home./office as u will need frequent fuel filling cycles. Read More

If monthly running is 500 km, then CNG conversion is too not useful for u. Since u will be keeping the car for more 3 years, then u will be running ur vehicle 18,000 km. Example Total cost if run on Petrol Petrol Efficiency: 9km/lit : Total petrol required : 2000 liter Total cost : 1,40,0...00 Total cost if run on CNG CNG Efficiency: 16km/kg: Total CNG required : 1125 kg Total cost : 45000 So total saving in 3 yrs will be : 1,40,000 - 45000 - 32000 (kit cost) = 63000 You will need 1 yr to break even the cost. but if u are planning to keep car for more than 3 years, then it is definitely a good bet for u Read More
