Lovato CNG kit in Chevrolet Beat LT review 1000km
Jan 04, 2012 03:35 PM 48437 Views

Hi Guys, I have installed LOVATO open loop CNG kit in my Chevy Beat Petrol LT model in Pune Initially I was insisting on close loop system(Lambda) to the Mechanic but then he said lambda has maintenance problem, doesn't work with some cars and it may blow up costly ECU/ECM of the car.

But he said I can install it will cost 3k or else we can install after 2 months also if not satisfied. Finally I got open loop installed with TAP with 14 kg cylinder.

In city I am getting good mileage of 24km/kg in crowded area of pune like Hinjewadi Last week I went to Shirdi and my baby ran 285 kms in just 9.63 kg of gas with whopping  29.59 km/kg of average.Top speed I achieved 120 kmph.

I have had engine check light coming many times but then I get rectified and the problem was in emulator. He replaced with Emulator of TECHNO company.

But problem is resolved now so no issue. If it comes again I told to him to replace with Lovato one I like to have optimum performance out of vehicle so I adjust the gas flow according to my city or highway style.

Thumb rule is adjust the knob n drive some km on slope and flat road. You will see at some point of time flow is perfect which is min possible flow for good performance and mileage.

May be this experiment is not suitable for everybody Please don't try if you have limited time:) I am Mechanical Engineer so I know Idling condition of engine too.

So risk is yours if engine suffers from any problem. I hope my review will help.
