Lovato kit in Hyundai Getz 1.3 review

After long research, I fitted the CNG kit in my Getz 1.3. Petrol Milage 10 in city, 11 on highway. After so many opinion on CNG, I opted for Lovato kit with Closed loop system. Tank capacity 14 Kg. As on today, total run on CNG 500 km in One week.

First thing First:

  1. After installation, boot space is vanished. But Tank is below the back tray, so it is not visible from Cabin or back window.

  2. To remove spare tyre, now u need to flip the back seat.

Real things:

  1. On Day ONE, faced the issue with little vibration and vehicle is not getting transferred to CNG. Fitter replaced the Switch(which is used to switch the fuel) and tuned the closed loop circuit. Problem re-solved there itself.

Now, no issue with the vibration and switching the fuel.

  1. Pick-up is reduced but can not be feel.

  2. You will feel the difference of Pick-up, if u are not shifting the gears as per  Recommandation.   Example: If you anyway try to lift the vehicle on second gear when vehicle is almost stationary - u will have this condition in bumper to bumper traffic- in that scenerio, u have to have shift to first gear.

Except this 2nd gear issue, I did not feel much pick up difference.

  1. Max Speed: I was unable to cross TOP speed of 110 on CNG. But I do not need to take effort to reach 0 to 100 km/hr speed. It goes till 100km/hr like anything.

  2. Finally economy:

I got city mileage of 155km in 8.5 kg with AC ON continuously.

whereas without AC, long drive I got223 Km in 9.27 Kg CNG. Long drive= Hinjewadi, Pune -Man- Pirangud- tamhini Ghat - Nijampur -Raigad fort - mahad - mangaon - Diveagar. This is not a straight and plain highway and it do have hilly roads.

Where I fitted the CNG kit:

I fitted the CNG kit from Auto wheel care, near Chinchwad RTO HP Pump, Chinchwad, Pune. 33.
