HCL-Toshiba Tecra 8000 X - series

Have added the specs to my posting. So far I have not had a bad experience with the machine. I use it very extensively mostly work realted and am running all kminds of software on it. I have an internal modem (not sure which one). I use that for dial up. It plays DVD's quite well. I have used Acer b...efore and the tecra 510 machines, but have found them too bulky and heavy. I would recommend this machine over others, except ofcourse the Apple G4 cube.Read More

As a follow up to my previous review about Bombay and the feedback received, I would like to clarify that I am a passionate Bombayite. I dearly love the city, its differences, its activity. I beleieve it is the most happeneing place in India. What peeves me is the guests we seem to have who do not s...how any civility or even attempt to change their ways while living in Bombay. Bombay is as much a part of India, as the Taj Mahal is a part of Agra. But when we (Bombayites) visit the Taj Mahal we do not carve our names their. Just a little bit of understanding is all that we ask. I hate it when people spit right on the road, or from trains or busses. It is disgusting, but being Bombayites we have come to accept it. We just sit back and accept shit. That can lead to no good. In conclusion I would love to stay at Breach Candy and pick up a pan at Muchhads at the corner of Napean sea road. I disagree that it is entirely the BMC's fault for the chaos of the city. If anything the city still WORKS !!! I believe it is the people who live in the city who are at fault. They have no consideration for each othet. Look at the amount of garbage dumped on the roads. They are also extremly selfi...sh and sel centered. There are ofcourse the level minded Bombaites who try to do their best, but are overwhelemed by the immense stupidity and unconcern of the masses at large. It also has got to do with the uncontrolled flow of Indians and Bangladeshis into the city. These migrants are leeches as they suck the life blood out of the city and contribute nothing in return. Atleast the Bombaites who migrate to the west pay taxes to the local governments, but these financial refugees do not contribute anything.
