As a follow up to my previous review about Bombay and the feedback received, I would like to clarify that I am a passionate Bombayite. I dearly love the city, its differences, its activity. I beleieve it is the most happeneing place in India. What peeves me is the guests we seem to have who do not show any civility or even attempt to change their ways while living in Bombay.
Bombay is as much a part of India, as the Taj Mahal is a part of Agra. But when we (Bombayites) visit the Taj Mahal we do not carve our names their. Just a little bit of understanding is all that we ask.
I hate it when people spit right on the road, or from trains or busses. It is disgusting, but being Bombayites we have come to accept it. We just sit back and accept shit. That can lead to no good.
In conclusion I would love to stay at Breach Candy and pick up a pan at Muchhads at the corner of Napean sea road. But that does not mean that I go around spitting at the store front of Benzer or Amarsons for no apparent reason.
Appologise if I have hurt anyones sentiments. A well meaning Bombayite.
PS: My name also happens to be Faisal. (AND, NO I am not the CEO of any comapany....yet :D)
