you bike mod rocks
and hero honda makes better bikes,higly reliable,i havent seen any HH owner dragging his bike on his feet for want of a repair or so but many with pulsars etc(not even tvs but bajaj only).
no comparison b/w bajaj and hh now but be sure bajaj people are very hard working and ...they have all the talent and zeal to deliver world clas products,and be a world level producer in a few years.....difference is for all to see,difference b/w old pulsar and new dtsfi.
but for now,hh leads.......technically 220 is very superior to hh zma but hey!looks wise,it sucks,handling etc also wont be as good bec its like that with bajaj that they still struggling to get good handling in any of there model.)pulsars scream loudly of poor handling and zma.......U CAN LIFT BOTH YA HANDS OF THE HANDLE EVEN AT 100kmph,try that at pulsars,u wont survive to stop the bike after that.)
in a few yrs bajaj will catch up technically with HH but right now,,,,verdict is clear,,,,even pulsar owners know it but don wanna accept..Read More

your review is really a gr8 one.
means so many flock here to review a thing and what they come up with are poor compilations.
you have written with complete understanding of the product and practical knowlwdge and limitations of the product.
I agree with manshine |that karizma is beaten by P180....
i own a HHk and raced with P180 dtsi.....man that bike is realy menacingly fast...jus try it and see the pick up and acceleration of P180/...............BUT BUT BUT BUT.....only till 40kmph was pulsar ahead of my zma and as soon as 3rd gear was applied ,there was a torque surge that accelerated my zma way ahead of P180.so 180 is fast only till 40 as against 80 claimed by manshine.
i also agree with your Bike mercedes point,y suck around in second hand zen or m800 when u can ip arround on HHK,so many admiring and envious stares are gurranteed...PHEW!
even big car owners take a second look at this gem.

review is gud but incomplete.
Zma is much better than P180 n every respect except INITIAL pickup.P180 is very agile and menacingly fast in 0-40 over zma.Its menacingly gast initially but from 40kmph,as soon as third gear is applied in zma,there is a huge surging torque kick which jets u ahead of P1...80.
comparing P180 with zma is unfair and too much of 'chotaa muuh badi baat' from P owners bec of reasons that P owners know but refuse to accept.
handling,stability,top speed and sharp looks.paint quality,engine reliability......zma is miles ahead of pulsars.
p180 is gud in its cattegory but zma is sole one in its cattegory with the new p220 coming in its cattegory.So whats the point comparing p180 and zma.

bajaj is improving a lot and is very hard working enterprise,they have been aroun for few years only but still doing gud.P220 is a gud example of their hard work.This company will go a long way,with products that will start rivalling world class designs in near future.current line is a gud one but the lack of experience shows in terms of reliabilty and handling of the bikes(paint job etc is also inferior).but this company improves upon its shortcomings and see for yourself,,quality differnce between pulsar classic and new one.
bajaj will emerge as a star in indian biz and will be a globally competitive company bec of their zeal to excel and improve upon their short comings, you take my word and you will see for yourself.

Don take it otherwise but i feel u r fiddling with the true figures.plz be true in your approach.
p180 defeats zma in 0-40 but not in 0-60.till 40kmph p180 leads,no doubt gr8 pickup but man zma is made for high speed,its after 60 the bike starts to roar and 40 is the start of the that roar.
duri...ng the final gear change to third for zma in a 0-60 at 40kmph with p180,there is a powerful torque kick which catapults u ahead of the p180.thats the feel,zma flies off.
top speed is debatable bec i done 140 too(althoght reached there too too slowly),neverthless,no differnce between 135 and 140 for that!

handling::Bajaj has to learn miniscule details first b4 they can make a bike that can match hero honda's handling.
such precise handling, unseen in any bajaj or for that ,any Indian bike ,only Unicorn comes closer to Zma in this department.Dont get me started on the handling of pulsar series,POOR AT HIGH OR LOW SPEEDS(i know i will be protested against bec of so many pulsars).
looks::well..wot say, the admiring stares and Dhoom Dhoom shouting by some kids tells volumes about the looks of this Honda VFR derivative(headlamp).Pulsar looks ordinary, all know but if one has that he is bound to like that even when he knows what the truth is.

do one thing if u have access to both bikes.get a refrence top speed,and then sudden brake(rear firstly and then disk)
see WHICH STOPS IN A STRAIGHT LINE(leave all that that zma stops earlier[it has to bec of bigger disk,its engg.,no one can challange that!])
ZMA stops in a straight line, while pulsars deviate and usually the final angle is 20 to 30 degree)wrt straight line u were moving in) if u r lucky to be still on the seat.
WAR IS BETWEEN EQUALS,ITS INVASION B/W MEEK AND THE POWERFUL.no point of comparison between these two.Read More

Well....what to say,rest all have said too much.
the highest i took it was at 140kmph and that came very very late.although 125kmph is reached very fast,journery till 140 is slow and bore,and thats when i was the only rider with no pillion.
plz get your bike replaced if u did 160 with a pillion,it... is a deffective peice bec surely u must be getting around 2 or 3kmpl for that much power from this engine of Hero Honda.
PS;Desh ka bhalaa ho raha hai,see any industry.Small probs are everywhere.

sorry boss,
karizma is fastest.RX100 will be ahead in first 30kmph but after that,Karizma will take off and rx will disappear in rear view mirror of zma.
i had raced with almost all bikes (indian) and no one dares to beat zma in a 0-60,, and in 0-100,,forget it man.

i dont know where u got your zma from that u have such negative views about it.+ i dont know where u got your p180 from that its performance is aweblasting.
zma gives a mileage of 30-35kmpl with tolerant riding and about 27kmpl with intollerant right hand.
top speed of zma is 130kmph,,p180 has... 115kmph(dont state false claims of 129kmph)
u simply cant compare the handling,stability and balance of zma with p180.zma has bang on and pinpoint accuracy that p180 is still striving to achieve.such a fun and easy to drive around,zma offers such handling unseen on any other Indian bike.
regarding digital console sensitivity,,please dont say anything if u dont know wht automotive engineering is all about.the digital console is 100% water proof,even if u take a hose pipe with water rushing out,place it over the console for whole day,still u wont be able to peak in even a single drop of water in it.the microcontroller used in it is certified to work upto 100 degree temp[water starts to steam up at that temp].
i support rest all of your points regarding tyres,leg guard and 250cc req. cc..but the cost factor is unjust.
for 12k more,u get extra cc, digital display,international styling that attracts attention whereever u go and the herohonda quality and reliability.Read More
