What are the differences b/w new and old Karizma

a fren of mine working at the hero honda plant(worked there) as a qi engineer(quality inspection) told me the technical differences.based on his info and the matter that I have found on the web , I m presenting the differences..

1)The new one is a Euro 3 model but the older is Euro 2(engine).

2)New one has its speed electronically limited to a max of 125,however hard u press the new one,it wont go beyond 125kmph,speedo error might show more but it maxs at 125kmph/9000 rpm max.,the older one had no electronic control,so on long open streches,it could touch upto 145kmph.

3)the older ones frame was capable(i.e can withstand) of max speed of 180kmph,newer one has capability of 185kmph(very slight and ignorable difference).

4)the new bike has better mileage figures i.e at least 2 to 3 kmpl better than the older one thanks to the Euro-3 engine.

5)the older bike had some miniscule vissible differences from the newer one.

some missconceptions removed::

1)both bikes were fully made in India, nothing like any sort of Japanese engine or gears etc in older model, that many old model owners beleive they have, only one part is imported.........the saxo alloy wheels which are high durability and made by world famous Enkie of Japan.

2)cost cutting was done to make for the very low sales figures of the bike,CTC(cost to company) for karizma has decreased to the comapny after lowering its price, now its a profit making venture for it.nothing like old was better and new bad,so less cost.

3)engine in karizma, cbz and ambition is same,,only difference is the cylinder size, use of micro computers and optiisation of engine.

karizma and ambition have computers...while the computer in karizma optimises the bike for max acceleration,it optimises ambition for max mileage at decent acceleration and speed.CBZ has no computer at all.

also

when he left the company,at that time the company was carrying out the feasibilty study of increasing the power of Karizma by using two approaches

1)either to increase the cylinder size to 300cc(but this required rechristening the engine bec the architecture that honda gave Hh for CBZ was sutable for volumes between 125 cc and 230 cc,karizma is 225cc and ambition is 135 cc).

2)to use pgmfi(the one now in glamour) to make improved fuel effeciency also jump in power to atleast 22bhp.

lets see whats coming out bec even the last revision was done 2yrs back when new karizma was launched.

ts enkei,error regretted.

also note both bikes have enkei alloys(the only imported part in the both bikes),these are race grade alloys, this explains the exceptional stability of bike at high velocitirs.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A REVIEW,FOR THE RVIEW OF BIKE BY ME,PLEASE SEE >>KARIZMA:AN IN DEPTH REVIEW AND ANALYSIS.

I hope this proves useful, any improvements and suggestions are welcome.

PLEASE DO POST YOUR COMMENTS BEC THEY HELP TO IRON OUT THE ANOMALIES TO COME OUT WITH A BETTER ARTICLE NEXT TIME.
