There are some Hindi movies, where you need to keep your brain at home before going to watch it at a theatre. Then there are some like Khosla ka Ghosla that make you laugh by tickling the brain and not resorting to slapstick.

As of 2008, the customer service has become worse than ever. Speeds have become really pathetic and are worse than dial-up days way back in 2000. I've switched over to Airtel who give good speed at comparable prices.

I don't agree with midhun. You see, asianet says that it is offering 64 kbps to the home user which translates to 8 kb/sec. Therein lies the difference kbps is kilobits per sec while kb/sec is kilobytes per sec and 1 byte is 8bits. so there you have it.
Also being broad band means that the total ...bandwidth is going to be shared among the pool of users. Initially there was no cap on the download speed since users were pretty low. Now if you want more bandwidth you need to pay more, that's all. Believe me, Asianet is pretty good, plus you can save on cable tv costs by putting a splitter to the line which connects to your cable modem.
Even with the night bird offer, TV is there 24 hours.
:-)
If you still need a good connection, albeit 64 kbps & very low latency, then go for Spectrum's service which is around 5000 Rs p.m.
