Enquired from their helpline 180030009991 about the Top End model(Lenovo P series Thinkpad worth close to Rs 2Lacs - it has 64GB RAM+ 512GB SSD+ 1TB HDD). To my surprise, rather than them chasing me, I kept chasing them. Finally, I placed the order on 7th Oct(Oder number 20160710A). To my surpri...Read more

Trading with Edelweiss trading platform is a pain - they sit with your money for days. If you want to trade and transfer money TO edelweiss for trading, the transfer happens immediately, however, when you sell shares and want your money back, there are two issues: at first their settlement time is m...uch longer than the industry average - they may take up to 5 (yes, FIVE) days to settle, and then, when you transfer the funds back to your account, they take 2-3 days! When this happened for the first time I was told that if you do a payout request before 5PM, it happens the same day but any such request made after 5PM shall happen the next day. I found this very strange because any NEFT happens within 3-4 hours the same day. However, next time I placed a pay out request at 4:53 PM (i.e., before 5PM) and still the [payout happened after 2 days (i.e., the third day though there was no weekend/ public holiday in between. DO NOT TRUST THEM - THEY USE YOUR MONEY FOR FREE....I HAVE CLOSED MY ACCOUNT. A word of caution - many of us just exit with all our holdings without any cash or holding in the acct - I do not trust them - please CLOSE your account formally as you exit.Read More

Dear gizmofreak2010 Just for the sake of clarification, I too am a techie - have been using Skype video calling after flashing my firmware by that mwant for UK - however, one can understand the plight that doing so meant that I lost almost all my softwares! Just for your info - you CANNOT make vi...deo calls on 3G network (practically, front camera is useless except for Skype and Google video calls and for a cheap freeware called 'mirror')....read the review carefully: it says that this otherwise high potential device suffers from step-motherly treatment from Nokia! I'm frustrated for not being able to use it for ovi music, voice navigation, etc etc....and Nokia doesn't care... BTW, have been using HTC desire and I bet, it's a much superior machine than your device (n900) that's 'not for kids'....by the way, would you buy my nearly scratchless n900 (110 days old now) for 22K. Only caveat is that the original battery's standby time has got reduced to 1 hour of screen usage (and Nokia does NOT cover it in warranty)....let me know if interested - I'll bear the courier cost.....Read More

'Use it to believe it' is all I can say....Surprising to see that : 1. Despite having a front camera, it doesn't support video calls (so, what's the use of the phone)? 2. This is probably the only touch screen phone that does NOT support handwriting recognition (I'm serious)... 3. No voice rec...ognition (meaning no voice commands - is that what you expect of a SMART phone?) 4. As already mentioned, you can't play OVI Music (Nokia's own platform); 5. Touch Sreen is lethargic - very slow to respond; 6. As I said earlier, voice navigation is not suppoirted (you get that as a free service from Nokia on ALL other phones); 7. Most commonly used applications like Google maps are not supported (try by yourself - you may get a basic browser based support); 7. Very weak battery - use it for (non-voice based navigation in a high signal area and open road and battery dies within less than an hour of useage (continuosly screen is on) - otherwise, try Internet @3G OR use it in Dual mode - you'll be disappointed); 8. Most importantly, Nokia care guys are not even capable of flushing it! 9. Body is highly scratch prone...use oit to believe that; 10. Try multi tasking - play a song in the background and surf the net - experience the pathetic levels..... 11. It weighs 200 Grams approx - try making a 20 minute call while holding it close to your ear - the weight makes it prone to more falls as well.... Can provide an exhaustive list as well... Hardware is sill OK (or Good), but given pathetic software support and non-seriousness on Nokia's part (as it's the first and last Nokia device on Maemo platform), it is a very bad investment on part of an end user....and mind you, I am a techie (if not professional one, at least a tech hobbiest)...:)Read More

Despite some exceptional reviews written across domains, n900 is a pathetic machine from user’s perspective. Technically, it's very good in terms of a fast processor, 32GB RAM etc, but realistically, because it uses MAEMO Operating System(All other Nokia phones are on Nokia owned Symbian Operati...Read more

Guys, BEWARE of TATA Extended warranty - the extra 1-3 years part is NOT warranty but only an insurance. There are many conditions in this policy that all of us may not fulfill: E.g., if you have to get your oil changed between 45,000-45,500 KMS, and say, you get it changed at 45, 750, the extended ...warranty expires! Also, in the extended warranty period, they replace original components with refurbished ones (I MEAN IT - check your policy). E.g., if you develop problems with engine while you are under extended warranty, they will change yr engine with one that had developed problems while being under warranty and was then, repiared at their factory! Also, most parts are out of extended warranty - my vehicle developed problems with rear shock absorber - they told me that I need to pay as it is NOT covered under extended warranty! Boss, be sure of your extended warranty as unlike most other vendors, TATA's are conveniently taking public for a ride!Read More

GUys, there are very serious quality issues with Tata Motors (across products) - I have an Indigo LX and these guys conveniently blame their own defects on me! What makes the matters worse is the fact that their Service is absolutely pathetic - they just want to make money, whatever be the cost to t...he customer...Be cautious when buying any TATA product.Read More

While this review is excellent, I'd add a word of caution - undoubtedly HDFC is very courteous and professional to deal with initiallty, but in later stages (after disbursal), they are most horrible guys to deal with. My sister runs a floating interest loan with HDFC and today while I'm paying just ...9% interest, she's paying 12.75% - a call to HDFC reveals a lot of 'gyan' wherein they fundamentally demand more money to roll back the interest rate by just 1% for six months! That's not what a floating rate interest is meant to do! My advise to all - go to a Govt bank OR a PSU (like GIC Housing Finance or LIC Housing Finance) - they will not give a great service initially, but later you'll realise how transparent they are!Read More

I run two loans with SCB - loan account number 41973488 (since October 2003) and a top-up (loan acct no 44440812 since Jan 2006). I fully agree that they are most pathetic bank to deal with. I'll soon post a detailed review on them, but what this gentleman says is absolutely correct!

Hi For the benifit of all potential buyers, I'd like to add that Tata Indigo is the only car in this category in India that meets most of the European crash test norms -the author of this review has forgotten that (though, otherwise a safe and good car), even Corsa doesn't meet these norms! Autho...rs comments on Indigo make it appear that Indigo is an unsafe car whereas it's the safest in that category! Regars V Shekhar AvasthyRead More
