If there was a field for Value for Money in the product rating then I would have given negative rating to this product. Any vehicle which is priced at par with luxury cars should at least try to come close to refinement in the engine and finishing.
*At first gear one cannot accelerate at more than 2k RPM, try doing it and a cloud of black smoke emits out, this equates to not more than 15kmph at 1st gear which in other words translated to very very slow pick-up. This is understandable because of its sheer size and weight, a vehicle not meant for racing but cruising. But I'm sure they could have done better when compared to Scorpio.
Secondly, the finishing is very poor. The plastic used for interiors is the same as that they use for TATA trucks & sumo, a major cost cutting in ergonomics and quality of finishing products used. The AC ducts are never aligned and the moulds mis-match to an extent that it does not fit well in the socket. The locks on door are held by one flimsy wire which if little pressure applied will come off. The window panels do not fit the doors well and open at ends.
Small piece of advice to prospective buyers of Safari Dicor, if you are an admirer for sense of detail and refined finishing then this is not at all a car for you. Scorpio is definitely a better bet!
(If I rated this vehicle 4 on a scale of 5 for looks then I mean exterior looks, take a peep inside and you will know that it just yet another poorly assembled product)
