HELL, HELL, HELL. The two good things about this car is the space inside and its looks. Other than that, this car is HELL!!!....Whoever is thinking of buying this car please do not and I'll give u reasons as to why. When we purchased this car, its dicor model had just been released. We were deciding between the scorpio and the safari. But ultimately fell for the looks of safari. After we bought the car there were three problems from day one. The check engine light is intermittently on, the clutch perpetually gives a problem and AC line leaks and water collects near the brake area under the drivers leg. In the first month of the purchase it was in the garage for half the time. The customer service is soooo bad that during the warranty period they didn’t change a single safari part that we complained about.
They used to put Tata Sumo spare parts nonchalantly into the safari and they used to steal diesel all the time. Two weeks ago, the clutch failed and there was smoke coming out of the bonnet in the middle of the road....anyway we sent the car to the tata motors garage (As of now our warranty expired). Right now they are telling us that they have to change about 10-12 parts and they will have to charge us because the warranty has expired!!!!!!!!!....HOW CONVINIENT!!!!...
We told them clearly that we are not going to pay them anything, since the car must have gone to the garage a million times during the warranty period and they didn’t bother to use authentic safari parts at that time. It’s been 13 days now and the car has not yet come back from the garage. The car has been dumped into their service center in a corner and it looks likes a garbage dump as of now. There’s grease all over the car and there’s diesel under the seats and scratches all over the car. These people just don’t care.....ratan tata is running a superficial, paper company. I think he should think about the customers rather than bottom line profits. As of now we are filing a lawsuit in consumer court.
