I saw the bike on the road it is really a stunner. Do give the actual measures relating to performance mileage etc. Regarding the gear shift from 5th to neutral, you get difficulty, 4 that you just need to go to ur service center or a reliable local mechanic in ur area and ask him to adjust the clu...tch, and ur problem will be solved. I have 125cc gladiator J.A type, and after gladiator i find this bike a absolute stunner. Enjoy a safe ride.Read More

Hi friend, dont get confused, just check with ur requirements first, based on which u will be able to select ur bike. i cannot tell u about other bikes but i will give u idea of My bike (Gladiator J.A Type) 1) Gladiator is best bike in ergonomics (design), so it is alaways a pleasure to ride the ...bike. But the seat of gladiator is very soft which irritates while in a long ride(more than 50 or so). But the new Gladiator (SS & RS) is has comfortable seats (I have personally checked in the showroom). 2) The pick and power is excellent, and it is one of the best in 125cc segment. 3) U would easily go for a top speed of 85-90 with out any vibration, which is difficult for any other bikes in this class(125cc). 4) The bike has macho looks, and looks like a 150cc bike. ONLY PROBLEMS 5) Starting problem -- The button start is excellent, but the kick start is a problem. 6) Jerk -- When I start 4 the first time in the morning and put the 1st gear i get a jerk (solution -- I hold and release the clutch for 5 to 8 times and the problem is solved) 7) Mileage -- Although most of people say that they get around 55--60 kmpl, my bike returns me only 47-48 kmpl with 50% city and 50% highway ride. I also ride taking care of the measures required for getting average still i dont cross 50kmpl. 8) Still I love my beast. 9 ) if u r ok with Mileage of 45-50 kmpl then u should go for this bike. The new bike RS & SS may be improved one. The Models 1) Yamaha Fazer 125cc --The old bike. 2) Yamaha Gladiator 125cc (Improved version of Fazer) 3) Yamaha Gladiator J.A Type (John Abraham type) the all black bike. The Latest 4) Yamaha Gladiator SS & RS Anyways best of luck for ur bike purchase, and do post ur review if u go for Gladiator.Read More

It is really a gud bike. The problems that u have mentioned r true, 1) A jerk after put the 1st gear while first start in the day --Solution -- When u start the bike for the first time just, let it get warm for some time, mean while just press realease the clutch for 8-10 time and then put the... 1st gear and the problem will be solved. I have Gladiator J.A type and my bike miss fires when i start for the first time in the day, after that the frequency of miss firing is very low, Tell me did u also encounter the same problem with ur bike?? The problem that u find while switching in 1st gear persists in all Gladiator's. It happens when u start the bike after a long break. SOLUTION --> In morning OR when after a long break u start the bike, just hold and realease the clutch for more than 10-15 times this lubricate ur clutch and the...n switch to 1st gear and u would not get any noise or jerk. Have a nice ride and also update ur experience with ur bike in terms of mileage. power, pickup etc. U can read my review also at ---->http://www.mouthshut.com/review/Yamaha_Gladiator-129760-1.html Read More

Ur review shows ur love for ur bike. I also bought my new Gladiator (J.A) Type on 21 Oct 07 (Mumbai), and i am very happy on my decision. It really is a substitue for a 150cc Bike. First time i got 40kmpl and the 2nd time i got 51 kmpl, and I hope this will increase after the first service. I will u...pdate my review as i do my first service. So do check my review also..at--> http://www.mouthshut.com/review/Yamaha_Gladiator-129760-1.htmlRead More

U have given a excellent review, and is very helpfull for me, since i am going from the same phase which you experienced before taking Gladiator. I have been doing research from last 25 days and found that in 125cc segment Gladiator is the excellent bike. The only problem is that the Yamaha motors I...ndia are not able to represent their product properly. For those who r pondering to buy GLADIATOR or not (coz of less units of services centres) -- I have heard that YMI is coming up with a big plan in India with many new setups, But plz confirm it I have just heard from few people. On the other hand it gives a decent mileage, the bike has a perfect balance of power and mileage with its good ergonomics (helps for handling of bike). THIS IS FOR THE CONFUSED PEOPLE -- Bajaj discover is also a good bike, but it lacks in quality, or else the bike has a great power and is good for use of 3 years. U can make out the difference of yamaha and bajaj, if u visit the respective show rooms plz check the black paint of the engine on both the bike's and u will get it. I thnk for ur review coz u have clearly mentioned the mileage story, which is only given clearly by few MS guys. Read More
