Today, July 5th, 2010 - Bharat Bandh(India is Closed)

The nationwide protest by political and opposition parties all over the country against Price-Hike of commodity prices of fuel (LPG, CNG, Petrol and Diesel), vegetables, fruits, etc is a positive thing. But the parties are using this as an issue to gain seats for themselves and hamper the UPA’s existence in India, forgetting the sufferings of the masses. Yes, the inflation rate is increasing exorbitantly and the masses wallets are shedding heavily for small amounts of purchases but the following facts are troublesome:

· MNS party in Mumbai is beating common man traveling by beating them in the presence of the so-called protectors of the people, ‘The Police force’. That’s why the common man has lost faith in the ministry and police.

· Schools, colleges and offices are closed all over. Education and man’s daily routine are at stake by such an activity.

· People in Bihar burning trucks, tyres to mark their protest

· Mumbai is at a stand still with no buses, autos, trains running safely

· Delhi’s metro has been affected

· Lucknow is burning with SP, NDA and other parties making life unsafe and fearful for man to survive. People are indoors and fear moving out on the streets. IS this FREE INDIA! I wonder!!!

We as Indians have seen Bapu, Mahatma Gandhiji, Our Father of the Nation protesting but peacefully (by his Non-Violence Policy) to make India independent. That was an honest and genuine protest, unlike the one today and many more which are hidden in the selfish political history of present India.

Some dictator has to come and give India, ‘Rebirth’. Actually, UPA is doing a good job with the Gandhi’s at its helm. I would vouch for the price hike and protest against this form of a bandh. I would have appreciated it had it been done with the same values as Gandhiji once propagated.

Live like a true honest Indian leader who brought India freedom and not like the many ‘Neta’s’ of today.
