I exactly don't know how to start, I live in one of the busy and beautiful town of Uttrakhand. Here life is peaceful and safe for everyone. Women assault cases are very few, but yesterday a heart wrenching incident came in light. It's so shameful that incidents related to rape, physical assault are so very common in our country. Be it a teenager girl, a months old baby girl or an old lady no one is safe.
Yesterday the half eaten body of a ten year old girl studying in class fifth was found by the police. This girl was missing from past three days, she went to play with her friends and never came back. Her parents kept searching for her each and everywhere and later they reported it to the police. Yesterday police found her body in deep bushes, the body was half eaten by the dogs and the pigs. Police have nabbed two of her neighbors who have confessed their crime. Her neighbour were her fathers friends and used to visit her place as well. That scary evening the girl was playing with other kids and these two culprit took her in an isolated area and raped her. Later they killed her and threw the body in the bushes. I felt so distressing thinking of her and her family. The helpless family was shocked and unconsolable, Can't even imagine how this little girl went through such cruel physical assault, they put her for sleep forever after assaulting her.
When I read and hear about rape cases my blood boils and a feeling of shame emerges. Our country which is number one in every field, we have great culture, expert technology and we call it incredible. Bt the sadful fact is that our mother, sisters, daughters are not safe. Rape doesn't hurt or harm a girl just physically but her soul die as well. Rape is not just a crime but an inhuman act. Where the culprit is a demon, a monster and it attacks the body and soul of the victim. The rapist tarnish humanity and the body and soul of the victim just cry for ever. These shameful incidents leave a feeling of shame, suicide, terror and insanity in the victim forever.
I really don't know when this all will stop, though I know if these rapist get death penalty then this will definitely stop. In most of the cases the culprit comes out easily on bail due to loose laws. But if our laws and police are strict and the verdict is fast, this all can stop. If the rapist get death in public then all eyes would be open, others will also think hundred times before committing such crimes.
