Music is my passion since long time now. Its always I dreamt of doing something different. I like partying, dancing & listening to music always. Too much clubbing, listening to new songs every week got me more closer to music. On top my brother is a Dj,so my passion got more deeper. One fine day I decided to learn the art of djing & I started going to workshop where my brother & his friend are my mentors. Its been like 3 months I have been learning it, just for sake of passion. Never thought I can or I will play music somewhere. I still attend the workshops after my work in evenings. It just drains away all d stress outta me.

So last week when I was at the workshop playing some house music that’s when my mentor announces he will be taking me along for a show was bit surprised because this was not expected somehow agree & say yes. The day soon approaches & he takes me along. Now imagine my first show, not in the club nor the socials..he takes me to open ground last evening for the celebration of ‘HANUMAN JAYANTI’.for some of you it might sound like me being a local Dj...but then he had some different plans when he decided this. He said,” playing in clubs is easy, you know what you goanna play..you know the crowd will ask for maximum of club hits but to kill your stage fear..this is the place”....i am all fine with it.

I finish my work, I rush to the venue..I am late, my cell keeps ringing, my mentor wants know if I am coming..if I have left...i get these butterflies in stomach somehow manage & reach the venue..the moment I enter & hit the stage I have all the eye balls stuck on me. I become the centre of attraction. The organisers get me cold drink. Make me feel comfortable..my enter taps my shoulder & says..”Go kill It” and here I spin in & push the CD in..i play the first a track by Enrique

The crowd gathers, people come running..they checking me out while I am spinning..i see cameras flashing, people talking, kids smiling..its just great feeling..my fear is slowing down now..and then I start playing bollywood tracks...just awesome..

The music goes on..i spin scratch play songs & then what I see is all the girls, ladies passing by looking at me with that surprise..i mean yes we doe have many lady Dj’s but then may be this was something new to them..it goes on & on & on...then these people have some ritual where they carry PALKHI of the goddess that’s when majority of crowd dances & gathers..This was the time I had to play my cards right..crowd gathers I quickly spin in to some all time fav bollywood tracks & that’s all..I see youth dancing with high on energy...requesting me with some fav tracks to be played...cameras flashing..people requesting to get me clicked..WOW feeling....

Now since this is Mumbai & you have some restrictions on the time limit, the cops walk in & asks to shut down..some how the organisers convince the cops & ask for the permission to allow playing for 15 more mins.I take break while they were convincing & talking. That when I came down from stage & I was with my mentor & friends & I see this small kids passing by pointing fingers towards me & saying,” mom see she was the one playing music”. even the passers by gave me that look oh she is the one...i absolutely loved this feeling....

Later when the Palkhi comes closer I again start playing & this time its the huge crowd dancing.....i see people going crazy while dancing..they jump, they fall, they going higher, they tripping..uh lalalala..awesome..i was really happy seeing the madness & happiness. And the show comes to an end..while I was leavening, I was offered flowers bouquet. Some people coming upon & asking my name, complimenting me for the music I played, some clicking pictures..it was simply superb. This was just my first show & first experience & it left me with that wow feeling..i thought this was something I can share so posting a diary. However its long way for me to go..just following my passion like I keep saying..Live your passion Live your life.....
