Cooking can be fun be yes making chapattis is task & pain I say. Now one evening my mom sweetly tells me.” starting from tomorrow you gottu make your own Tiffin & take it to work, also if possible when you come early in evening try cooking dinner too’.i was like but why???Then sweetly she replies because I want you to make habit of cooking & working, so that tomorrow when you get married you can easily carry on the tasks. I take up this challenge & I tell her boldly..Done deal mummyji...set hain fir life...

The next morning I wake up bit early,i cook vegetable & then I start moulding flour for chapatti..Uff, such a pain I tell you..Still not bad I managed to prepare the dough. Now the chapattis, not exactly the maps but then yes something round but not squares I managed them. So finally I cook my tiffin. I take it to work.Evening I go home mom asks me, ‘how was my first day of the activity was like pretty good usme kya hain?’..Then she says okay cook dinner as well... theek hain kar lenge...she says again the chapattis..i said no not againL..She lets me go this time.

This activity continued for week or so..Now my smart mother tells me, you cook tiffin & dinner both now..Since you are expert in making your own Tiffin.” I take this challenge too.

Now one evening I was dead tired from work & I was suppose to cook dinner. I have nice strong tea & start with the task of cooking. I cook dal rice, was chopping vegetable then had no strength to stand. No strength to move my hands to mix the ingredients. I literally gave up & ended up in tears. I walk upto my mom & told her ,’i cant take this anymore don’t mind keeping a maid I am done with this cooking activity’..Such a pain mom! My mom then hugs me, consoles me & tells me thats oki you did enough I was just trying to make you feel this pain, for I don’t want you to suffer tomorrow.

The next moment I had this smile on my face, not because I was not gonna cook anymore but for the fact I could take the challenge & at least for week I could manage it

The next morning I still decide to cook my Tiffin..i rush to work..in the train again I see those working ladies..Rushing, struggling to board the train & yes I also see the lunch boxes (carried in lunch bag).

I am sure they must be waking up early cooking & carrying it on regular basis...that too been doing for so many years...Without cribbing.

Hats off to all the mummies, who cook tasty food for their kids & still work hard at office.
