continued from The Three Good Samaritans Part I

Just then the third Good Samaritan came to our rescue in the form of a rickshaw driver

He asked me to sit in the car and keep to my right at all times, while he from behind driving his rickshaw would push the vehicle forward with his leg, Ajay sat in his rickshaw

His only request was that I honk before I brake every time

All the while during the 7 – 10 kms stretch while I was being pushed by a rickshaw from ghodbunder to dahisar check naka I just kept thanking lord for helping us out as we were breathless and dead tired and we really thought we would collapse there

He left us till dahisar check naka as his was a thane rickshaw; we now thought we could use another rickshaw the same way and get the car until haneef’s garage

But no one agreed to do the same, all the drivers said that they did not know how to do it and moved ahead

Left with no other choice we pushed the car again from dahisar check naka till haneef’s garage which wasn’t very far from the check naka but for us it seemed quite far given the state we were in.

If not for the three good Samaritans: Ajay, The Old Santro Uncle & The Friendly Rickshaw Man I don’t know what I would have done alone stranded on the ghodbunder road that day

Things I learned from this experience

1] Always ensure that I take my vehicle in for repairs whenever I doubt that it’s not functioning properly rather than wait for two months and end up in the situation I got poor ajay and myself into

2] Always keep at least two bottles of water in the car , 1 drinking water bottle and the other tap / plain water for the radiator

3] my back , legs , head all were paining real bad as I had not worked out for a long time so I must ensure that I keep fit cause we never know when and where we might be in a situation where we need to be fit if not its probably game over for us or hello doctor sahib please take all my hard earned money again : -)

Thank you Brother Ajay Paleth
