RAJ VS BACHCHANS

By: niranjan66 | Posted Sep 19, 2008 | News | 305 Views

Previous week there was war of words between Raj Thakeray and Bachchans, one accusing the other for not respecting the sentiments of Marathi people. The other then apologizing for no reason and finally the first one was satisfied. In the meanwhile Raj Thakeray again raised the issue of Maharashtra for Marathis. Now this is objectionable since if all the states start doing like this, there will be Gilani’s and Farooq’s etc every where, wanting to get liberation from Indian occupation.

Is the statement of Raj Thakeray not equal to what the Kashmiris were doing some time back, waving Pakistan flag and approaching their border in order to open trade with them. They were doing this to oppose the land transfer to Hindu organisation at Amarnath. In retaliation, Jammu people were blocking all highways and there was no trade for more than 2 – 4 weeks. Moreover this type of attitude develops hatred among the frustrated people in other states, who get ignited listening to such things and take up law into their own hands as if somebody has made them moral police. These people will drive Marathis out from their state??

Any body who comes up with such an idea that so and so place belong to one particular community should be immediately arrested as terrorist or such offence should be treated at par with treason. I think all these acts of terrorism like Delhi blasts etc, take shape due to statements like these, wherein other community feels threatened and insecure. A general reaction to one’s insecurity is either to kill your opponent or take revenge in anonymous way.

I again repeat that people should become more tolerant, political persons should refrain from making irresponsible statements, general public should mingle with each other more often and community activities should be encouraged by the local authorities.
