I read a profile of one of my friend on a web site, he has mentioned that he is pursuing for attaining moksha. For this he is doing good deeds, treating all live material equally and behaving with them in sympathetic manner. This will free him from the continuous chakra of life and death. He might be right in his thinking of getting free from all this but here I differ from such people. I feel that there is no better place to live than earth or for that matter in case if there is any similar planet. In our terms if you achieve moksha you remain in heaven and what you do? There are different views of staying in heaven, some say you penance, some other say you enjoy a maharaja type life style etc. etc. what ever the stay is like, it is not same as here.
Here we take birth as a child. The period is normally lost in memory when we grow up, but you can see your child growing up in similar manner and can imagine how you would have enjoyed being one. Then relationships develop, mother, father, brother, sister etc. would you get this anywhere else. Remember your mother cuddling you and loving you when you did a good deed, your father holding you in hand up above him and you getting scared but faithfully he takes you back in his arms, he catches you every time you skid on pathrili road and never let you fall when he is around. Where in the universe you will get such royal treatment. You become a teenager and do not agree with anything anyone says. You always think that you are right and try to head in any direction you like, still people around you put up with your tantrums. Then one day you start realising that elderly advice is all good for you and find that you are in the age bracket of 22 ~ 25. You get a job where you put in your best and try to work very honestly and faithfully. This is the place where your transitions from a good mannered, honest, faithful and helpful man to ill mannered, dishonest, back stabber and diplomatic man starts. Some resist this inner change and go on in the same way; some become greedy for an early rise, generally from the government sector. Change of jobs etc happen, pressures and depression for not getting your due happens here. You experience life in its true form here. Do you not enjoy this period. I did it because whatever be the situation I always remained as honest and faithful as ever and always knew that there is solution to every problem, there might be delay but there can never be – no solution. Here we also get into love or get married in traditional way, whatever way you look at it, either it is love before marriage or after it, both are beautiful experience. I will not go into detail here but those who have loved someone or those who are loved by someone will surely say that this is heaven and can you get such thing anywhere else? Children, a beautiful creation, you play with them, you forget everyday hassles, when in company of children. Where would you get such an experience?
I cannot write more than this because I am at this stage. Till now I would like to come back again and again and would not want a stop to this life cycle. I don’t know what lay ahead, but I am sure life must be similarly excellent in all other stages of 45 ~ 60 and then 60 ~ 75 etc.
