The movie is a sure shot commercial masala, with the Charishma of the Deol's. They have come back together promising too make the audience happy and smile when they leave the theatre. The storyline may be not very new but it appeals. The 2nd half of the film becomes interesting, especially when the focus shifts to Punjab.

Sunny Deol, the elder Dhillon family son comes to India from Canada looking for his father, Dharmendra and younger brother, Bobby Deol, on his mother’s insistence. Sunny Deol was separated from them during childhood.

Sunny finds out that his family, are living as petty thugs in Banaras. But before he can take them back with him he must resolve his kid brother's complicated love story by tackling the girl's (Kulraj Randhawa) tough brothers (Anupam Kher and the rest). The rest of the movie is about how Bobby Deol finally wins over his girl’s brothers and marries her, with the help of his father and elder brother.

When the storyline shifts from Banaras to Punjab, the movie becomes interesting with some comedy created by Anupam Kher. The first half appears boring at times and the length of the film could have been made short. The items numbers are not too good. Watching 'Dharamendra' Paji with his sons shows definitely depicts their strong family bond.

As far as the music goes, the title song and ‘Chadha de rang’ are the only two songs, with their typical Punjabi style of dances and colorful attires of performers. They are humable and ‘foot tappers’.
