Media Should Be More Responsible.

From last one week I have been going to Chinnaswamy Stadium for some official work, here India & England are playing the one day match for the World Cup on 27th Feb. The Indian Cricket team is practicing well but the media people are creating a lot of disturbance. They are trying to capture every movement of the cricketers during net practice. There is no place for Privacy these days. The personal lives of the sports persons are displayed on the channels. I think the TV channels especially have been playing up this news with an eye on TRPs.

These days’ common citizens are not interested to know about the lifestyles of cricketers or celebrities, true cricket fans don’t bother whoever it is. All they want is a good game. It’s the media who is obsessed with celebrities running after them to popularise their channels. They will create a hype to discuss about them. Media is not realizing that it is loosing its importance by involving in such activities, it should be limited to particular sports or entertainment page but not beyond that, focus should be give on important issues of our society.

I am not wrong to say that Media in India has less meaningful journalism to report and they are following the footsteps of so called paparazzi of the west. There are so many important issues in our country that we should be aware of rather than someone's personal life. There are many better things happening in our society, but nothing is covered in the print or electronic media. I am surprised that Indian media is going down from bad to worse.

Let’s wish & hope our Indian Cricket team will win the match against England in spite of all disturbances created by the media.
