Doesn't mouthshut bans members who make abusive comments

By: mira.gopal | Posted May 21, 2010 | General | 664 Views

I had not decided to raise a issue out of the comments. But seeing Angel Babe's diary last day I thought I will also put my points on what I felt negative about mouthshut. I had mainly come to this forum for improving my writing skills which were lying idle for a very long time say close to 10 yrs. Also I have been recommending my friends to read my reviews and diary posts. But angel babe's diary has made me think should I do that as already doubts has been raised in my mind abt th credibility of the site 2 months back.

Well coming to the points. In Jan I wrote a review abt the networking marketing company Quest net. 2 months later I got a very abusive comments on the same by a member named raasika. Couple of readers who read the comments M2M me telling that I should report abuse to Mouthshut management. I did the same. But the reply I got was mouthshut is all abt arguments and counter arguments and we should leave it at that. But isn't there a thin line between argument and abuse. If we are getting abused for writing negative reviews how would I feel to write a negative review on a product. Worse still we cannot delete those abusive comments and everyone can see them.

Another thing I want to bring to notice to mouthshut management is the fact that this member raasika has joined on 21 May, abused my review and since then have not posted a single review or diary post on the forum. Doesn't that point to the neutrality of the member and the fact that the abuse was intentional.

Also please note that 2 weeks after this member's abuse another member nonbiasedreview have written a extremely positive review abt questnet. Again this member has not written any other review or diary post since April. So isn't it wise to warn the readers for discreation while reading those reviews.

Please look into this matter urgently else genuine reviewers will slowly move away from the site to pave way for paid reviewers who are paid to say good or bad and their reviews cannot be trusted.
