BCCI - Board of 'CONTROL' for Cricket in India !!!!!!

By: PrashantLahane | Posted Jul 30, 2013 | General | 428 Views

I know many of you who are reading this blog might wonder why have I highlighted the word 'CONTROL' in title. But if you take a closer look at Indian Cricket you will realize that, yes, the BCCI is actually controlled by some handful people as their own private enterprise. BCCI, the richest cricket body in the world is a private entity for some people.

The way the BCCI is run and controlled, without any accountability is bizarre, considering that it is the because of the people of this country that made them the richest board in the world. The recent spot fixing scandal of IPL, in which few top cricketers were arrested, is saddening. In fact, the spot fixing scandal was there right in the doorstep of the BCCI president because of which the president stepped aside for few months and surprisingly, was given a clean chit by BCCI(but how???//) and he is back as president.

Corruption has reached at every place in this country and the BCCI is no different. And the most important part is that the fans of cricket are being cheated. How does it feel when the outcome of a game is already decided by some people.? Are the cricket fans fools, that they are wasting their time and money for these cricket matches.

But the positive thing here is that our Indian cricket team is doing quite well and that is the cricket has still survived in this country. The BCCI should be aware, that if cricket fans looses their faith in cricket, then this sport in India will crumble down and it will be really difficult to regain their faith

Corruption/fixing/vested interest can destroy this gentleman's game, so I hope that BCCI takes steps to curb these disease in cricket and once again we can call this sport as gentleman's game.
