Hey, its me again, posting after a long long time. Just to set the record straight, I saw LOTR: The fellowship of the ring recently. LOTR: The Fellowship, is better than the Two Towers; slightly more watchable. The first 15 min are enchanting, almost flawless, I was very impressed. However...Read more

are not a bunch of pussies. And you know this too. Why else, would you say, they allow themselves to be sacrificed? Do pussies die for their country? The Indian army is only following orders from the government. Your complaint should be against the government. Not the army. I assure you, no... one in any army in the world is a pussy. Why else would they join the army? They know perfectly well, that one day, they may become the target of the enemy's bullet. I agree with concerned, you should not be talking about things you know so little about.Read More

You showed this movie it's place. And for once, I did not see someone going gaga over it's so called 'AMAZING' camera work. Hats of to you(If I wore a hat, that is..)

You have missed the point of the film. I am not NR your review because I disagree with your review. Rather, because you have not explained yourself enough.

Thanks for your compliments.. I was expecting a few NR's for this one. The HR completely took me by surprise. Yeah true books will be books; movies will be movies. But the underlying problems here are not because Peter Jackson has not done justice to Toliken's work. After all, a director is f...ree to his own directional voice. My main cribs are with the fact that it alienates me soo much and it too self indulgent for its own good.Read More

There are not many movies that leave me to do some self introspection of my views; when I am intrinsically convinced I was dissatisfied; but LOTR: TTT does just that. I hesitate to disparage such a universally acclaimed movie to the extent I am going too; I am also willing to accept, that perhap...Read more

Shakti - The power is a misfortunate example of potential quality cinema that succumbs to commercial pressures and mindless exaggeration. Resulting in a hodgepodge of cinema, that is neither appealing to the masses or the classes. I am deeply grieved; no, not for Krishna Vamshi(director), who...Read more

Thank you for the compliments folks. Ajay certainly has been on a high, especially for 2002. This year in my humble opinion, belongs to him. Prasad, do watch Zakhm when you got your hands on it. It is well worth your time.

I found Zakhm(wound) to be a deeply moving experience and a deeply memorable one. It is set in the Hindu-Muslim riots and questions religious hypocrisy. Yet also educates that we are a secular people, that religion does not divide us; it unites us. Be it Christianity; Islam; Hinduism; Sikhs(the ...Read more

[No one has ever witnessed such brilliant cinematography in an Indian movie,as yet!] I am sorry, but I find the cinematography of Kaante to be highly self-indulgent, over-lighted and faux, with poorly distored colour schemes. You need to watch more Indian films, if you think this is the creme ...de la creme of Bollywood cinematography: Further more, if Kaante is one of the best of Bollywood, then god save Bollywood. I am deeply sad, that Abhay was slammed like this. Not just the audience, but critics too. Abhay deserves to be remembered as a modern classic of Indian cinema and it has to happen! My girlfriend loved Abhay - and her favourite movies of all time are DDLJ and KKHH. I was shocked that she liked it.... It only proves, that Abhay trully is an excellent film.Read More

I have not recommended your review. For the following reason. Nayak's main flaws were in the plot. In your 'oops' section you have not mentioned the Matrix fight scene. There are no mention of special effects which were used throught the film, albeit, when not needed at all. You say the songs... pop up abruptly, and that is certainly agreed, yet you go onto rate it as one of the best plot's you've seen. Take careRead More
