For the past few daysI have read quite a few thrillers, but was getting tired of the normal serial killers, FBI agents, psycholigical profilers that are a ''must'' in most of the. ThenI read about this writer Harlan Coben. I don't know if he is famous but he definitely isn't among the names l...Read more

I seriously object to the very first statemnet that you have passed. I agree that the points you have mentioned in that one line are problems faced by India but that is NOT what defines India, represents India. You speak like a 'Firang' who has no clue what India is about. I suggest you visit one of... the companies in the software park SEEPZ of this very city that you are talking about and you will see another part of India that maybe you do not want to know about.Read More

Once in a while one comes across books that linger on in the mind. Namesake was one such book for me. The beauty of the book lies in its simplicity. Though many books have been written on immigrant Indians and their children trying to find where they fit, this book gives a ?from the heart? pictu...Read more

This is a lovely film which talks not only about silly romance but about believing in people and sticking by them come what may. Great Review Another great scene i would like to mention is when Renee goes on and on about Jerry (to her sister) and he is actually listening. It always makes me laugh, ...and Renee handles it sooooooooooo wellRead More

I know that just reading the name of the series may make the eyebrows go up. But Sex and the City is one of the best TV series I have seen up till now. I would like to give a few details about it. I wonder why we are looking for women of substances everywhere we look, why do women need to be either super competent or just slaves? cant they just be a normal human being? Sex and City is a fun serial that talks about, relationships, socila lives of four women, and even then they have shown 4 wo...men who know what they want. Whether one agrees with what they want is not the point, the point is that they are women successful in their jobs (Carrie has a book published, Samantha is good at her PR work and Cynthia is a successful lawyer) and having fun in life, what else would a woman of substance be? If they decide to be sexy along wih all this what is wrong with it? We need not forget that it is NY they are talking about and things they potray are very true to NYRead More

Why was this review (it cant even be called one) written? It wasnt a review about anything, and if Madhuri and her husband want to make a joke about conception of their baby thats their problem, of coursae with papers like TOI they will do it more often than required. Rarely do we find Indian directors who can make movies on diverse subjects. Most of the directors their fixed genre and rarely do they try to move away from it. how is it healthy watching a serial where one person (Gautam) is married 3 times, where most women are potrayed as either too good to be true or the most evil things on earth. Can you imagine kids talking at school: 'u know what so and so is actually not her son, he is an illegal child' or 'gautam...'s wife is actually his step brother's G/F' and on and on and on..... This is nothing to do with a modern approach to life etc, what Ekta kapoor shows is just unrealistic. I agree this is fiction and needs to move away from realism but then the shift EK has made makes her serials Fantasy World, something like Harry Potter (Sorry to make that comparision, EK does not deserve it at all) You may be absolutely right on reasons for popularity but there is no way anyone can justify that whats goes on in these serials is utter crap, its making Indian TV viewers almost brain deadRead More

I do agree with Nelsaan that the book is preety chauvinistic, but your review was great, what i liked best was that apart from reviewing the book, you took a step further to talk about what thoughts arise after reading. Great work, keep writing
