1. Shahrukh-Sushmita (Main Hoon Na)

Valentines and roses. Violins and pink balloons. Then add a raw sensual touch. Attraction which leaps out of the screen. They celebrate the spirit of magnetism between a man and woman with such a gay abandon. No guilt. No strings attached.

2. John-Bipasha (Jism)

They do not disguise their obvious physical attraction with cootchie cooing. They come straight to the point and yet, they remain utterly beautiful people. There is nothing crude about them, Just a magnificently gorgeous woman and an outrageously handsome man who look straight in the eyes of the world and make no apologies about their belonging to each other.

3. Aamir-Pooja (Dil Hai ki Maanta Nahin)

Though Juhi Chawla was paired with Aamir very often, it was Pooja Bhatt who looked the best with him. In Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahin, they squabbled like children and fell in love with each other in the most simple manner possible. Somehow they made love look like a simple mathematical equation.

4. Anil-Sridevi (Lamhe)

Love that knows no barriers and which can sustain itself without any support. Like a wild flower blooming among rocky stones, it is nurtured by tears and a flaming determination to survive, against all odds. Watch them in ?Kabhi Main Kahoon? and you will see that rare happiness that only lovers can experience when they are together.

5. Aishwarya-Salman (Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam)

The beautiful, star-crossed couple of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. The love that was not to be, both in reel and real life. I always felt that Aishwarya looked most beautiful when she was in love with Salman. She had a glow about her, which only a woman who is loved can have.

6. Govinda-Neelam (Love 86)

Teen crush. Puppy love. I guess this kind of a mismatched couple can only exist in teenage times since after that, other practical factors come into play. Viraar ka chhokra meets Miss Manners. Compatibility may not matter any more. It?s just togetherness that rules.

7. Naseer-Shabana (Masoom)

Mature love which translates into happiness forever. Toss in some subtle humour. No blatant sensuality here. Just quiet understanding and an everyday habit forming togetherness.

8. Kishore-Madhubala (Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi)

Mad hatter and Venus. She was so utterly beautiful, porcelain delicate and yet so lonely. Madcap Kishore was an ideal antidote to all those blues. Together, they performed the funniest antics on screen (Chalti ka naam gaadi). The star couples today could take a leaf from their book. Love is not just sizzling together, it is laughing together as well, and looking good may not matter when you are having such a good time.

9. Anil-Madhuri (Tezaab)

Love that burns. Love that hurts. The violence that love evokes threatens to devastate. With fire in their eyes, unbridled laughter and limitless passion, Mohini and Munna rewrote the way love is perceived in Bollywood. Gone were the shackles which bound the bollywood heroine and reduced her to a feminine, fluttering doll. Mohini was fearless, plucky and a spitfire.

10. Amitabh-Parveen (Kaalia)

Parveen always looked too stylish, too sophisticated for the Hindi movie mould. She was hopelessly miscast with almost all her co-stars who really did not measure up with her, except for one. Amitabh Bachchan. The man who invented style. This man is amazing. Put him with rustic belle (Rekha) or an innocent girl (Jaya) and he looks good. Yet, when he was with Parveen, they made a stylish couple par excellence.
