but his saving grace is that he is doing this SINGING, MUSIC VIDEOS and all, just b'coz the AUDIENCE [ or the majority of them ] loves him for that.... BIG B did that... SRK did that............. and now.... HIMESH ! so, if he is not very right, he is not too wrong too....! cheers harsh

Reviewed Ten Best Movies of 2006

Apr 04, 2007 12:07 PM 1562 Views

2006 was the most successful year in the recent past as far as the  BOX-OFFICE results are concerned. It even came up with some new subjects, and thankfully, even audience showed great interest in all of them. I am not going to list my fav films of 2006, as it would be too risky to  name them...Read more

don't know why but today this is consecutively 2nd review which i didn't find satisfying my senses...that too from my trust list...irony that is... i think LATA is just a great singer...nothing above. but not the greatest certainly.... as a human being, she sounds too cocky in her interviews, and ...often throws indirect tantrums on her li'l sister, who is way ahead of her, in terms of everything - versitality, originality, persona, humanity, youthfulness. yes, I personally think ASHA is the greatest female singer ever. but, thats just my opinion. u r entiled to urs, and i am entitled to mine. don't mind the Useful rating. just being direct. keep writing harshRead More

"what makes a film, a classic ? " were the thoughts howering in my mind, when I read patenik2's review on SHOLAY. is it the plot ? is it the performances ? is it the cinematic writing ? or is it the quotient of something never-seen-before ? I stopped thinking when my thoughts c...Read more

i didn't like this movie as much. more was expected from YASH CHOPRA after the above-average DARR. the film lacked a emotional resonance unlike other JOHAR-CHOPRA flicks such as DDLJ, KKHH, KHNH, etc. which sailed them through despite of a tad weak scripting. except music [ great music ], lavish ...sets, and a great star cast, i saw nothing in DTPH. thats why the useful rating cheers harsh Read More

nice review about a very nice film-maker, who has just got his real talent left behind in the deep dark world of commercialism.... his KAALAPANI was a masterpiece [ with its share of comic scenes ] his HERA PHERI blazed a trail in comedy film all over again. but it really bugged me when he took h...is 'COMEDY KING' a bit two seriously, and made some inane films on the name of it. GARAM MASALA, MAALAMAL WEEKLY, BHAGAM BHAG may have raked in MOOLAHS but for me, they were the testimony to PRIYADARSAN succumbing to the power of BOX OFFICE keep writing anyways harshRead More

well written... yes, AMITABH BACHCHAN appears too-good-to-be-true due to his over-the-top humility. however, i am very sure he doesn't hate SRK just because SRK has sstepped in his shoes for occasions more than one, because he understands SRK is the most charaismatic after him. also, giving AMITA...BH a 2 star rating, just because of his fake humbleness is not very fair either. well written otherwise keep penning harshRead More

thanx for commenting on my review. actually, while editing my post, i decided to write 'ONE MIND BOGGLING PERFORMANCE EVERY YEAR'. instead of writing all the movies' names. ASTITVA was one of them in 2000, followed by a well, may i say, best performmance of 21st century [ in actresses ] in CHANDN...I BAR. cheers harshRead More
