ELEPHANTINE ang ER ?

Feb 09, 2015 03:12 PM

Food for thought Your post makes one ponder over this irony. The civilisation and education intended to make the mankind less 'animal-like' and more 'human-like' has made him lose the animal instincts, the sense of togetherness and the symbiosis of flock behaviour that nature bestowed us with.. manki...nd is becoming marooned more and more thanks to the ever increasing desires in this materialistic world.. and that we need to rediscover some of our old ways for our benefit before its too late..Read More

What I felt after reading this deep post of yours is that, we need be assured what goes around comes around.. Karma catches up with everybody at sometime, be it good or bad.. Taking the bull by the horns.. Nice post.. your post reminds me on the popular quote that ‘to conquer fear is the beginning of wisdom’.. there is no way to face our fear than going through it.. your post shows how we can do it so spiritedly..

JUST AS A FISH CANNOT BECOME A BIRD

Jan 17, 2010 11:08 AM (Updated Jan 17, 2010 11:09 AM)

Yes Just as a fish cannot become a bird, why should fishes wish to become a bird, most birds cannot swim!..people having guts enough to accept their true identity with strengths and limitations are more accountable than people who say they have changed..which can be such a humbug sometimes..No wonde...r then we have only a few sages :)..beautiful linesRead More

What is in the Name?

Jan 17, 2010 10:45 AM

your thoughts.. fly around raising a volley of questions and valid points..true we have inherited a rich traditional lineage .. rather seeking to be associated as 'uber cool', sadly we seem to be in fear of losing our own identity..

It happens.. ...is all i can say , though i could be the least qualified person now to say that to you here :).. i remember when i was in my mid teen , getting severely injured and wailing out of pain , my mother moved to tears seeing the suffering :).. till then i always take it seriously whenever ...she says ''be careful'' even today, atleast for her :)..Read More

Banning OZZIES

Ajeet.. Yes..it could be a sane and reasonable thing to do ..students who are already pursuing academics might be imposed upon conditions to return after the completion of course and education visa should be stopped being issued hereafter.. maybe diplomatic actions need to be worked on a ban like th...is so that students are least affected at the same time making Australian govt realise it means a lot to us afterall to ensure safety of Indians in other countries..Read More

Banning OZZIES

Jan 15, 2010 10:39 AM

One of these days.. .. i would like to catch a breaking news with headlines ''India issues ban on overseas studies in Australia''.. maybe the Australian govt would gain or lose nothing from it.. but for once, it could justify our stand, the seriousness and gravity of this issue and make the world se...e how important it's really to take some serious action on this..i feel a ban like this should do, let alone a ban on cricketersRead More

I get reminded of Kopmeyer's 'How to get whatever you want' on seeing the quotes you have highlighted, he always stresses the importance of auto suggestion for the subconscious mind to act upon, also comparing that prayers work because repetition of thoughts will get imprinted deeply.Maybe another '...Basmati rice patenting' :)..and well , authors do have contradiciting observations on subconscious mind, like to such an extent how it controls the external environment too sometimes, but could be merely programmed by the conscious .. nice and useful review on the book, sure will give it a try sooner.Read More
