@ avinashsopanam Hello mate, thanks for reading my review. I dont think you were reading the review carefully. I have already quoted that the :- ''would also beat the pulsar 180, FZ-S, Fazer hands down on a track, Which easily beats any bike around the 73000 price range.'' With the Pul...sar 180, it is not even a fair comparison. I was comparing it to the bike i currently own, 220 S. Which was only a few thousands away from the Apache 180. And trust me, the 220 S is the better bike in perhaps every way. I was not speaking of the Apache 180 ABS. This is an old review and it didn't exist back then. But to your Question. Apache is one of my fav bikes and is perhaps the second best only to the 220 or the R-15. I dont even put the Pulsar 180 in the same league as the Apache. So please clear your misunderstanding. :) :)Read More

“Live off the edge” That is one of the worst tag lines I’ve ever heard. There’s something called gravity that would pull you straight down to the earth and instant death, a fact that the Hero Honda advertising team were oblivious to, and the new advertisement they’ve come up with to suit it i...Read more

The FZ and the Fazer have a 153 cc engine that punches out 14 PS and their kerb weight is slightly more than apache, and they are down by whole 3 PS on power. I don’t see how they can beat the apache. The FZ-S costs 73K approx while the Fazer comes at around 80 K on road that is why I have compared... them.. The pulsar 180 puts out 16.5 HP and weighs a whole 10 Kg more, so it is out of equation as well and it is available for 72K approx and therefore it is too included in my article. So, theoretically I don’t reckon pulsar or FZ stand a chance against the apache. Its only worthy competitor would be the-now- extinct pulsar 200.The RTR-180 is easily the best bike available for 73 K price tag. And after having driven all those bikes FZ-S, Fazer and the pulsar 180 I believe that they don’t stand a chance against the new RTR-180.Read More

Born on the race track. Engineered for the street. It’s pure acceleration on a collision course with pure exhilaration. Or pure terror, if you’re not equipped for it.” I haven’t made that up. You wouldn't believe me but that’s the tag line on TVS brochure. At 137 Kg, the Apache looks anyth...Read more

The Yamaha FZ-16. I don’t know where to start from. When it was launched, it made a lot of noise and I was very expectant about its launch. It looked just awesome from the front and I just adore the broadness of its rear tire. It is one bike that you just can’t really help show off. The momen...Read more

What is the first thing you feel when you look at the all new 220? Arrogant. I got on the bike feeling all the “hot blood” running through my head. I just wanted to go very fast. I couldn’t care less about the traffic, I was sure I’d find some way past everyone. After all, I was on the Fastest I...Read more

@ csrinikgf Hey mate...I know it has had its share of problems...I havent highlighted them becoz i wrote it as a sort of send off, a tribute...rather than anything else!! I know for one its an expensive bike to maintain, and has quite a few reliability issues...About the engine heating...I ex...perienced it first hand...My frend had kept the cloth near the engine(coz he cldnt fit it anywhere else)...and well...It burnt out!! There was very less of it left to show!! The engine gets very hot when you thrash it around too much. N about the top speed...well it remains a mystery to me...Personally...i've been to more than 110 on that bike...But we ran out of road after that(It wasn't a very long road mind you)...I read in the magazine Top Gear(the bikes section)...they managed to do 126 KPH on the bike...I dont know if it is capable of more. But seriously...I jus love the bike...and i have seen, if maintained properly...it will definetly last!! I know a person who's owned his pulsar for 1 and a half year and has 12000 kms on it and its in quite good condition. Of course he's had to spend a quite bit on its maintainance, but it still is in quite great condtion. Anyways...the new 180 may look like the 200...But seriously..i'd prefer a 200 over it anyday...and i reckon they couldn't sell the 200 coz i've heard the new 220 is almost similarly priced. So it'd be madness to sell the 200 as well. But i think i'll miss the simple looks mixed with that chromed Exhaust!!Read More

As I’m sure most of you know, Bajaj has decided to drop the 200 Dts-i. And just before it goes, I’d like to remind you of what we’ve lost. I looked at the shiny new blue pulsar lying there. It instantly lifted my heart up and I could tell that I was up for something special. It is a looker ri...Read more
