The power steering is very good. I am happy that I chose that(though paid a hefty amount - nearly 50000 more for that).
Riding comfort is extraordinary, especially since I was driving a small car so far. I love driving in this car(though due to its size, I am a little bit worried drivin...g it in chennai's narrow streets).
Petrol efficiency is good - it gives around 12 kms with AC(this is a rough estimate - only after sometime I will be able to exactly measure it).
What you said about accessories is right. The one who fitted the accessories did it with a dirty hand and I had to clean the seats later. Some fittings were also not done properly after they installed autocop.
I can understand some of the problems: having only one reverse light, manual opening for boot. But, I couldn't understand their logic in saving on a bulb for indicators. I also couldn't understand putting such a cheap and light plastic lever for windows. They could have charged some 5 or 10 thousand more and improved these.

yes, i noticed that and was confused about that. Thanks.
I feel that they can hike the price by another 5000, and at-least improve this aspect. I don't know if I can buy something(window levers) better for a price.

I opted for gold colour. Everyone says it is nice. I fo...und the silver one also as attractive, but since I have another vehicle(my old matiz) of the same colour, I decided to go for gold. I am happy about the option.
Regarding availability, the GLE 1.4 model is available immediately. But, my loan provider (HDFC) delayed the sanctioning of the loan on some frivolous grounds (their rep didn't tell the requirements clearly and hence there was some confusion between us) and that delayed the delivery.
Infact, the India Garage guys were efficient on this ground. They got the money, immediately registered the vehicle and fitted the accessories, teflon coated it and delivered that by evening - all done within a single day! Despite my disappointment at being not treated as a guest or someone special, I am happy about this aspect of India Garage at Chennai.
Regarding the fuel efficiency, I have no idea. But, the 3.5 lakhs I saved from Verna would match it - I can drive as long as I want for that kind of savings.
One more thing, don't go for the accessories from Mahindra. It is at times very expensive. I spent 7500 on the seat cover and found that I could buy a good quality(thats what I learn) cover outside for 5000 rupees. I purchased an imported car cover at 1200 rupees. Mahindra's original car cover - 2400 rupees( indian car covers for logan are available at 900 rupees or less).
I fitted a music system (Pioneer 2950 MP3 system + 4 Sony Explod Speakers) for around 7500. The Company audio system (Sony MP3 system+ sony(?) speakers) cost 12500. I went for imported sun control film (at Rs2800) instead of M&M's garware(2400). Fitted Autocop's central lock& anti theft(4200rs). Total cost incl acc = 565000.
