Answering some of the other queries:
1. Purchase: Look for BOSCH BRAND STORE in your city. Most of the bigger cities have one or more of these. Go to resellers only if you see that buying direct will not work. (the bosch website dealer locator is not working today bu...t you can use Just Dial or Sulekha to find the same).
2. Supplies: We've switched back to Finish powder and rinse aid primarily due to ordering difficulties with Fortune. Finish is available in all major supermarkets such as nilgiris, mk retail and more. Now most local mini-super markets are also stocking it. Discovered that performance is not much affected if you use normal vim liquid dishwasher (2-3 tbsp) in the powder container for emergencies when you run out of detergent.
3. Use: Setting the utensils properly so as to ensure proper splashing of water is all is needed to ensure good quality wash. For vessels with dried food slight rinse and scrub is good before you put it in, esp for kadais with burnt stuff sticking to the bottom. Else you'd need to use a longer duration program which will not be as eco-friendly and economical as the normal eco more operation. I usually load the dishes at night after dinner, spend around 5 mins scrubbing the dishes (that require a scrub) another 5-10 mins loading bai with them.
4. Maintenance: No maintenance undertaken till date which required the service personnel. Changed the 3 pin plug couple of times since the outlet in our utility (outside the kitchen) had some problems. Otherwise, machine is good condition. Once a week cleaning of the filter and occasional cleaning of exterior with liquid detergent and wet cloth is all that's required.Read More

Our Bosch bai has completed 2.5 years of service and we've not had to call for service even once (touchwood). Their service profe...ssional whom we'd seen at the time of installation are direct from company and not 3rd party. Very professional Achtung!.

Dear Vinod, Bosch Diswashers is made by one of the world leaders in Home Appliances. We bought our m/c (model : SMS40M52EU) from Pai Electronics in Indiranagar. Installation was done the very next day. In Bangalore the service is handled directly by the company so you're guaranteed the best service.... So go ahead and buy this one, you'll not regret it.
