Regarding unable to use 4th and 5th gear in ghat roads, palio comes with overdrive in 4th and 5th gear unlike other cars which have overdrive only in the 5th gear. Hope this helps.

I haven't yet driven in highways. Regarding discount I got the advt 10k for exchange + 13 k for free insurance and another 8.8k on the sle upgrade package. Regarding bonnet not visible and b-pillar et al, are things that we get used to in a day.
