Hi, I have a V2 DLS for 1.5 years now but never faced the problems you mentioned. Albeit I have issues with the tyre quality. It might not be Tata's fault directly, but the JK tyres that were fit on my Indica have been nothing less than a nightmare. Punctures are very frequent and once a slight ja...b at a concrete step, created a gaping hole in the front tyre!! I am looking forward to replace the current set of tyres after I complete 35,000 kms. But, overall it is a fantastic VFM car. TusharRead More

I dont recollect recommending this place to you. Guess you have enough friends in Pune to do that :). Will check with Dennis on what you ordered from the wine selection when I visit Malaka next. BTW - How are you doing mate? Tushar P.S - That is a unique name, I mean your login.

Hi Neeraj, First of all congratulations on your new car and first review as well. Like you, I also started off my stint with mouthshut by writing a review on the Indica. According to me the car is an absolute winner. The engine noise that you experience at startup is probably that of the AC bel...t and is not a big concern really. Enjoy your drives and keep penning. Hi Sujata, Coffee certainly makes your day worthwhile. I have tried some coffee concoctions at the swanky new outlets which seem to spring up everywhere. But nothing beats the charm, taste, aroma etc. of Nescafe Classic. I live the life of an IT professional, but your daily romance with the cof...fee cup is making me think of shifting to teaching in a place which has a Nescafe outlet at hand. (I guess you ARE into teaching, aren't you?) Till the cup overfloweth... TusharRead More

Hi Ajay, I have an Indica V2 DLS from BUB, bought in June 2004. Their service is not so great either. Never have I got the car on time. Infact, every time I go to collect the vehicle my average wait time is 1.5 hours. I have always had to test-drive the vehicle and suggest at least 2 shortcomings ...in the service. My pet peeve being wheel balancing. I shifted my servicing from their Wakad service station to the one at Wakdewadi, but even that did not help matters. Now I had to not only wait for 1 hour without any clue, but also I went back to my office and asked them to deliver it there. Finally I got the vehicle 4.5 hours after the scheduled time. Hi Kalyan, This is a good first review. You have been to the point and have compared the vehicles pretty well. One point about the power steering .... it is safer to have less assistance in steering the vehicle at high speeds. Normally all higher end cars have electronic power steering, which re...duces the steering assistance as the speed goes up. I am not sure whether the GLE has this feature, but if it does have, then I guess that is what is troubling you. Keep writing. TusharRead More

This is an outstanding review. Well written, great content, to-the-point and very informative. I have been to Kashid myself, but am not sure whether I would have been able to summarise the visit in the manner you have. Tushar

You DID have a choice in this segment. WagonR comes with an automatic variant with an ex-showroom price of around 4.82 in Bangalore.

Hi Siddharth, Indica is probably the best VFM car we have in India today. Plus the diesel option is great on the pocket too. I have a June 2004 DLS myself (from B U Bhandari, Pune) and have clocked 11,000 kms so far. An observation: The DLS does have the features of mobile charger/lighter and 6...0:40 seats. I really rue not having the option of buying a DLG at that time. Esp. for the HVAC, Power windows and fog lamps. TusharRead More

Hi there, That is an excellent decision. Indica does have the best of interior space and all the other features. I got mine in June 2004 (diesel) and am very satisfied. In fact I have the same audio system as you have mentioned, except that I have chosen to put Blaupunkt speakers in the front. G...ood review. TusharRead More

That is a fabulous to-the-point review. Yes, the Indica rocks. It does lack a little bit of power and pick-up, but it can be marginally improved by filling it up with the High Speed Diesels like Turbojet. I noticed that it definitely adds some punch to the speed and pick-up. Regards, Tushar

Hi Traveller, The M800 was my first car too. It was the apple of my (our) eyes. Like your kid, even my daughter learnt to hate public transport due to our Maruti 800. Sold it only a few months ago to buy the Indica V2. Diesel prices ruled the decision. Super Review. Rekindled my own fond fee...lings for the car. TusharRead More

Hi Kaustubh, Welcome to mouthshut. I myself started my tryst with Mouthshut with a review on Indica. I am sure you too will have a good time here like me. About the review: You bet .... the Indica rocks!!! I have a diesel equivalent of your car and has been fabulous so far. Yes it gives me a de...cent city mileage of 16-17 kmpl with AC all the time. Shall try to compare the to-and-fro fuel consumption on my next Bombay trip. TusharRead More

Hi Raj, You just saved some moolah and some very valuable time by penning this review. I guess we share the same fondness for Aishwarya Rai, but I would have seen the movie with the prejudice of BILB. Since I trust your word on movies, I shall spare the trouble to myself and stay home and watch th...e Ind-Aus test on the weekend. Not that we are fairing well there...but will be worth watching nevertheless. Super review as always. Keep exercising those fingers often. TusharRead More

Hi there, The only technical difference between the Indigo and the Marina is that, the Marina has gas-filled rear shocks. The vehicle should do good in a niche market in India. The Tatas seem to have got the formula right for the Indian customer, keeping the buyer's pocket in mind all the time. ... Great informative review!!! TusharRead More

That is a cool collection of great favourites. I could not agree with you more. The selection of 'Pehla Nasha' and 'Tu Aashiqui Hai' is so apt. Albeit the songs themselves deserve the merit. As a cliche let me add another song which comes from a recently released flick. The song, 'Man Ki Lagan' from... Paap is also fantabulous. Keep hitting the keyboard more often. TusharRead More
