Hi Avanish, Unfortunately, this model is not safe enough. My advise to you is do not drive more than 65-75 kmph speed as it has design issues in it. It is just your good time, that you have not seen any issue yet. But Be careful when you drive higher speeds with family members in it. Please read ...my review when you get a chance and you will know it in more detailRead More

Anurag, TATA SUMO GRANDE is an obsolete product in terms of Stability, Safety and Comfort. If you are looking for these features then I'd say you are like me who experienced major issue with the car. Infact, I went back and read through the entire design specifications of the car and they al...l lack the safety measurements. ARAI Certifies these cars and they do not have the ARAI Certification for the customers which is ridiculous. Major Changes in the new Grande MK-II are: 1) Entire SUSPENSION Change for Better Traction and Control of vehicle. There is no reason for TATA to make this change. 2) Drum Brakes to Disc Brakes. They have Brake Failures due to no Anti-Locking mechanism in the old car. This means car is not guaranteed on its brakes. It may roll over easily. In our case, Car Tumbled on its left side injuring all our family members. There was nothing on the road and we were lucky to be alive. 3) They did a major modification in the Chassis and the Rear leaf springs which was pulling most of the old SUMO Grande vehicles off the road. Car Swings like a Airbus. All the above are hidden from customers. They stopped selling old cars for your information. This is with in 20 months of its release. Design Flaws and Manufacturing defect issue is 100% in there. I am fighting in the court and I threw this car in their service center and not accepting it back. Anybody wants to support me, please more than welcome. I am collecting evidences at this time. Read More

Hi Pranay, This is Umesh from California. I have put my review for the SUMO Grande on this site and noticed that you agree with the problems we have with this stupid junk vehicle. I trust you with that. You must have noticed that TATA has changed the vehicle to MXII version and they replaced ...Suspensions, Chassis and Brakes. What else is left, these were all faulty in the earlier version and that tells there is a fault in the previous version. If you could share your contact information via Mouthshut, that would be great. I live in California, USA. I will call you to discuss this out for our benefit. Look forward to hear from you. Sannidanam, Doesn't matter what you think. If you have the Sumo Grande, you will notice the issues I mentioned, if not today but some other day. It depends on who is writing the review in here. It wouldn't make sense to me, spending time to write a review to attract the audience. Having a good e...ngine doesn't mean the car is good. Example 'Disabled person with a good stamina' Can't do anything with it. Good luck !Read More

I am at a stage where I don't know if I should write the reality of this car or just throw some bluff news about it. Well, Realistically! I had a really bad experience with the Dealer, Service Center People and finally TATA Motors as well. We bought this car with lot of spirit to get happines...Read more
