Yes, I had written to both Aditya Puri and RBI Ombudsman in the same mail. Fortunately it worked for me, but I can be sure inly after getting my Oct statement.
I received the following mail: Dear Mrs. Sarkar This is further to your recent email addressed to our Managing Director, Mr. Aditya Puri and subsequent conversation with my colleague, Mr.Walter Harney regarding your credit card account. At the outset, we regret to note that your recent i...nteractions with the bank have not been upto your satisfaction. We hasten to reassure you that we value customer contact and every possible attempt is made to ensure complete satisfaction, in every contacts. We thank you for your feedback expressed in this regard. We observe from our records that we were in receipt of part payments towards the outstanding and hence finance charges were billed to your card account. As confirmed during the conversation, we are pleased to inform you that we have arranged to reverse the charges amounting to Rs.2110.98 levied to your card account. I have sent the mail to HDFC and RBI Ombudsman. I am out of town now - in Bangalore for official purpose, so cannot go for court case. Lets see what happens, then I will update it here.
