(Updated Feb 07, 2017 12:50 PM)

My earliest recollections are of a happy childhood spent in Srinagar. Particularly vivid are my memories of sitting in our huge sprawling kitchen while my grandmother cooked my favourite dishes. I clearly remember what I used to sit on – a tin of P Mark Mustard Oil. I have grown up with the t...Read more

My family’s encounter with oats happened in much the same way as it happens in thousands of other Indian households. The husband is found to have high cholesterol or high triglycerides and strict dietary changes are recommended for immediate implementation. One of these changes is to introduce o...Read more

You have rightly pointed out that with P Mark you will never have a complaint. For so many years, I have been delighted by the quality standards that this brand maintains. Sadly, it is not available in all cities so at some phases of my life when I was posted in Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad and Bangalore..., I had to switch to other brands. They were terrible. Their flavour and aroma varied from bottle to bottle and my tried and tested recipes just didn't taste the same. When I came back to Delhi, what a relief! I could get P Mark again!Read More

An excellent review - and straight from the heart. I have grown up using this brand. The quality never changes, the taste is always perfect and certain traditional Indian dishes just don't seem to taste the same with any other mustard oil. Also, 'Kachi Ghani' is very important; I have read artic...les that mention that these days, some unscrupulous manufacturers are using solvent extraction method which is not natural. And then, they add artificial pungency later. That's why I prefer P Mark, it has kept its taste intact for so many years.Read More

I use tomato sauce purely as a defensive ingredient. Let me explain what I mean. If my samosa, bread pakora or sandwich is tasty and enjoyable, I have no need for any sauce. It’s only when the taste of the food is indifferent or boring that I need to reach for the bottle of tomato sauce to makes...Read more

Let me tell you upfront that I have always been a consumer of Dabur Honey. Prior to that, back in my days in Srinagar, we used to get tribal honey from nearby villages. This honey came in quaint little ceramic jars and tasted heavenly. I really miss that – but Dabur was pretty good and consisten...Read more

Biscuits can sometimes be really boring – tasteless squares and circles of flour that have nothing to say for themselves. The Dunkin’ Donuts outlet at Nehru Place is a cool hangout – the ambience is warm and inviting, the décor has a touch of class and it’s a very nice place to chill out at with a cup of coffee and some tasty snacks. However, one irritating incident really put me off and I haven’t visited the outle...Read more
