I have done purchase online several times in past 3-4 years. I made few voucher purchases on snapdeal also.


I came to know about the website on HDFC bank website.


For the first deal the transaction was approved by the bank but snapdeal payment gateway (CCAvenue) failed to respond so now account was debited but no voucher was generated. I had to call couple of times to Delhi to get the voucher explaining my issue every time in detail each time.


After that experience also I did not learn and bought few coupons for Mast Kalandar which were good. So after that I bought 2 coupon of Body & Soul after reading the deal details. I called Body & Soul Jayanagar after 10 days and was told that voucher cannot be used on weekends.


I told the lady nothing was mentioned in the voucher details but she told me it is part of conditions apply.


I contacted snapdeal customer care and was told that I should go on weekdays or any other Body & Soul outlet. Other outlets are at least 10 km from my place and for a haircut one has to go that distance and any money saved on the deal is of no use.


Finally when I asked for a refund the snapdeal customer care told me that he had informed about my issue to his manager who is calling the Body & Soul Jayanagar outlet.


Finally I got a call from Body & Soul Jayanagar outlet that they would give me a appointment for next weekend.


This is a great concept because it allows people to test services or food at a reasonable price without having them to worry about food or service quality.


If the food is bad or service is poor you can cut your losses.


But as last reviewer comments showed that there is lack of communication between the snapdeal and


vendor (restaurant or service). This creates a lot of confusion which results in people wasting their time.


I would suggest people who want to buy from snapdeal that you would get some good deals and sometimes you would waste your time and money.


The payment gateway snapdeal uses is CCavenue which is another reason not to buy from snapdeal.


I will write their review also some other time.


Well online business is based on trust that is why buying from Ebay always has been a great experience for me. They have a no nonsense customer care which takes care of customer. Companies such as snapdeal should learn from Ebay India in customer support.


I hope this review would help make people aware of the problems while buying from snapdeal.


They can decide whether the benefits from the deal outweigh the issues.
