Your review would have been very good if not for the faux pas of revealing the plot at the end. I think Samyukta is one of the most underrated actresses of all time. Practically nobody outside Malluland knows her. What a pity!

Thanks for filling up the background without which we cant really understand the movie.

Do you mean the book is actually easy to read, given the folksy dialoge style? I had read 'Autumn of the Patriarch' , and that is one heck of a difficult read. Only marquez and hemingway can write abt love in times of war and disease without sounding banal.

Wow, Your review was one of the best I have ever seen, although a little above my head. I would definitely pick up the book next time I go on a spree. Do you like to read non-fiction?

A dream is the only place where such a movie can be seen.

While the book is undoubtedly a classic, your description does not effectively convince any aspect of its greatness, but only reveals its plot

First, it has barely been 12 hrs since I joined MS and I get 38 mails. I am completely overwhelmed. Yes, I agree that it was an absolutely disgusting review. A travel review should at the minimum include atleast the place and time (unless u r R K Narayan writing 'A Dateless Diary') . The re...view was basically CTRL-C CTRL-V from my website. I promize to add more context information and more on Kerala soon. PS : The spelling mistakes may have occurred cos the other hand was busy.Read More

This book is often cited as 'the' book given to young adults just turning serious reading. I read it when I was 20 (perhaps 6 years too old?). Most young readers immediately identify with the protagonist Holden Caulfield. Even setting aside the fact that most young people start out that way, ( I...Read more
