well written review Prakar. Your comments are correct. Team BHP forum are control freaks and they behave like they have the most precious forum on the web. They are obviously young kids and some disgruntled middle aged men who have no control in the real world. Have you guys seen the Skoda thread? T...he Team BHP forum thinks that they can effect Skoda sales with one instance of some alleged dealer cheating one the team bhp members. Mouth Shut is a product opinion website, and as you admit you joined here just to patronise FitnessOne when you saw my adverse comment.
Caveat Emptor or let the buyer beware, may be the rule for many busi...nesses like FitnessOne and that is why websites like this are very important.
I wonder why you take my comments personally and find it harsh unless you are an interested party???
Good for you if you lost weight and you believe you have the basics right ..lol. It sounds like a VLCC advertisment!
Knowledge in exercise science is not acquired by trial & error or attending a few seminars or the fitness one academy, it requires intense study and loads of experience.
Do you go to see a medical professional who treats patients by Trial and Error?????
What do you mean by Basics? Do you care to explain???
Since you have your BASICS right, can you please tell everyone here the program you followed to lose a staggering 35 kilos? And in how much time did you achieve this lofty goal??
Please re read my first review and comment appropriately instead of going around in circles.
Can you deny that the Fitness Director Ajit Shetty himself is not certified to ACE as he claims????

As a consumer I do not like to be fooled by people like Ajit Shetty who pretend to have necessary certifications. And as you know, he is not the entreprenuer, or owner but the FITNESS DIRECTOR !
But you make h...im sound like a Mother Teresa who has done the country a great favor by setting up fancy gyms! LOL!
The package you are talking about is over rated. The team is not certified to any recognisable international standard. And they are no different from the other Health clubs in the city.
Jagriti I can safely say from reading your comments that my knowledge in this area far exceeds yours. Not because I am more intelligent but because you have not spent the time or have the experience in the area of exercise science, strength or fitness.
It also seems that since you joined on Jan 13 only to reply to my review you are a Fitness One employee or an interested party. So you lack credibility.
Unforunately people like me are not the ideal target market for unscrupulous operators.
Since you are advocating the correct business model and logic let me say this - Money is an exchange of value, that is the first rule of an ethical business.
And these health clubs are not ethical nor do they offer the consumer the value.
If you do agree with words of Karl Mullis, its time you started doing some real research to understand what health and Fitness is about and how it is best achieved.
But if you are happy fooling people, it is your call, but it wont work always.

One more thing, it is the individual program design that will help you achieve your goals like change your body composition, improve your range of motion, improve your cardio vascular efficiency, strength etc. and none of those trainers at Fitness One are certified to carry this out. S...ure they can make you do a lot of cardio and some circuit training on the machines! And for people like you, something is better than nothing I guess. So enjoy!Read More

Jagriti, means 'wake up' ? Okay, so this is an opinion website on a product and I am doing exactly that as a consumer.
Do you have a soft corner for Ajit Shetty? My experience with Ajit Shetty is not the point. Maybe he is a charming fellow since you are so protective :)
I am merely pointing ...out the fact that Shetty is making a false representation to consumers when he claims he is an ACE certified trainer.
The fitness one academy course was was conducted by Shankar Basu and Radha, both certified trainers and they are no more at fitness one.
But that still does not mean that this Acdemy one format is comprehensive and therefore a valid certfication like the American Council of Exercise or ACSM.
If that is the case, do you see a quack when you are unwell or a Medical doctor who has been through medical school and has the certifications?
If you read my first post I mentioned that health spas like Fitness One are probably suitable for some part of the population who do not have the knowledge on how to go about achieving health & fitness or know what fitness really is. And admitedly you are part of that group. So be it.
And if you went to VLCC, the words dumb & uninformed come to mind. Short cuts are not the best way ahead as your grand mom or some elder must have told you?

Fitness is a big word and people need to educate themselves a little, understand where they are and where they need to go. There is no cookie cutter system as these health clubs claim which suits every one.
I agree there are suckers every where, but India has the biggest number, thanks to the la...rge number of people and new found affluence!
There is also less accountability in India as opposed to say the USA or UK. Because in the west personal trainers are at least required to be certified to ACE / ACSM standards. Even the fitness director of this company Ajit Shetty is not certified to ACE, ACSM,CSCS, nor does he have a degree in exercise science. And he trains celebs in Chennai it seems! Dumb celebs or his claims bullshit?? lol.
Fitness one trainers are rookies or just Reebok certified Aerobics trainers..lol..thats another con certification as most ordinary housewives can get it and start an aerobics class. Injuries are guaranteed to the participants in these group classes. Maybe good to socialise but there are no real health benefits, that you cannot get from a brisk walk and a balanced diet.
The health club & spa business model started in the west many years ago. The western world is full of such health clubs & spas where they take your money in advance and results be damned :) Hey, regular exercise and watching what we eat is a good thing, our grand mothers can tell us that. But no one needs to pay these con artistes a ridiculous sum of money to derive these benefits!! Maybe we should learn from the fools in the west ! But it is all about style over substance perhaps!!!

You are getting carried away with misplaced emotions.
If Chappell did show the finger to some abusive idiot in the crowd, so what? I think he needs to show the finger to Sanjay Jha as well, who has made a career of Chappell bashing and kissing Sourav's back side.
What Indian c...ulture are you talking about? Did you see the terrible crowd behaviour at Eden Gardens?
As for Chappell's track record coaching South Australia, ask Darren Lehman, Greg Blewet or the man in charge of cricket there. You will hear that Chappell played a key role in developing many good players. Paul Wilson was sacked by Chappell! Paul Wilson is a guy who played as a subsititute with the test team for 12 overs, if you listen to him, you would think he played for Australia for 12 years!
He has explained the under arm incident several times and said that he absolutely regrets that.
Greg Chappell has been hired to do a job but he is not a servant to every abusive Indian. Any man with some pride will respond to abuse at times.
It is human.
If you are looking for perfection you need mental help.
This is just a game of cricket and we have become a nation of sensation seekers, lookng for cheap pubilicity. Just look at our third rate media and the content focused purely on selling.
What people like you need is not a upright coach but a politician who will kiss backsides, sell everyone out and destroy the game in the country.
